if your spending that much you shouldn't have a problem with whatever you buy.....look for a full service history and low millage- check every stamp, date and millage in the log book.....look for reciepts and ask lots of questions.......at the end of the day no 2 cars are the same - you could have 2 identical cars in a garage, same spec, same price, same millage but you could pick one and something goes wrong a month later - its a bit of pot luck with cars. get one you like and be prepared to dig deep when it does go wrong.....cos it will at some point!
basicallly if it looks ok - it probly is...test drive it, drive it hard, use the brakes. does it pull in any direction? does it make any noises it shouldn't? find a big car park and do some big figure of 8's. any cluncking noises? does it go through the gears ok....idle smoothly? suspension ok? push every corner of the car down to compress the suspension - it should bounce maybe once, twice at the most! check the body panels for alignment - your looking for repairs from crash damage so all seams should be parallel - doors should open and close smoothly and should sit squarly. paint should be the same shade all around....your going to get stone chips on it - its a fact.be worried if there arn't any!
get on an insurance website to get some quotes for different cars..your be amazed by the variation in cost for insuring different cars of similar engine size!
