blood coming from breasts

im 21 weeks pregnant and on saturday i noticed there was blood on my pj's that had come from my breasts ! i rang NHS direct to see if this was a problem and she said we will get a nurse to ring you back but she never did !

has anyone else had this happen to them and is it serious ?

i am only 16 and am really worried please help !

I've never heard nothing like it before. You registered on another pregnancy forum arent you? Shoudl ask on there, its full of women who have had babies, so might have more idea than some on here.

It isnt normal to have blood coming from the breasts during pregnancy, however I wonder if you are mistaken about what this substance is. If it is slightly yellowy in colour dont worry as that is totally normal and is the breasts preparing to feed your baby, this stuff is called colostrum and is nothing to worry about. if it is blood that is coming from your breasts i would adivse you to quit asking on forums and contact your midwife.

i asked the doctor the day after and he said they were inflamed and thats the reason for them bleeding !

you hope anyway! i went 14 days over! scary i know, you might have another 11! tho younger moms tend to go in earlier, not that i'm that old lol! only 26!
