Those of you still serving are always in my prayers. I served in the US Marines during the first Gulf War. I wish then they'd let us turn Baghdad inside out. But so that the socialist wing of the UN would support action, we agreed to use restraint and not enter Baghdad. I new then it was mistake and eventually we would have to go back to finish the job.
Despite what is written in the newspaper and on the liberal media outlets, most Americans do support your actions and efforts. I'd love to see all the liberal media kicked out so that you'll can get down to doing business without fear of retribution.

Sempre Fi and best wishes.

Too bad so many people are being wasted to fight what is really israel's war in iraq. The war in Afganistan makes sense , thats where the terrorists were. The militairy and the people in the USA and UK along with were fooled by a small clique of neocon traitors ( none of whom have ever been in anyone's army ) and this over-grown child little georgey ( who weaseled out of Vietnam war then weaseled out of his week-end warrior unit ) into going to war in Iraq to protect israel They have others planned for Iran and Syria also for israel which like iraq may not be nice places but why should our militairy be sacrificed ?.

So, even a thread that has been used to demonstrate wholehearted moral support for our boys and girls in the military can be subverted for cheap political point scoring, can it?

Shame on the pair of you!

ok i've been sent a pm and i've not been clear enough in this, this is more a stab at the british politics behind the war than the american because i don't really know about that side of it, i'm not in favour of what bush did but i'm MORE against how blair joined in, best of luck to all those out there that you come back safe and sound when the time is right

Explain to me how you can support the troops when you don't support the mission that they themselves do support.

I'm a former Marine that served during the first Gulf war. I whole heartedly support their actions now. I only wish we had buried Saddam the first time so that this go around would not be necessary. See what happens when you appease the appeasers and not complete the mission the first time. Several appeasers within this forum throwout some unsubstantiated statistic of 1,000,000 deaths. Had we not worried about UN approval, I suppose none of this would have occurred.

There is wiser ways to solve problems and conflicts than wars and aggression.

What has war done in Iraq but make it a worse place. Saddam was bad and all but Bush is worse. His ideologies suck. The UN was doing a good job what was the rush about that now caused so much destruction, lost of soldiers and civilians. Only poor folks go to war the rich folks never send their own.

Change is good but it dose not require war.
War did more harm than good
Saddam had killed less people than the USA has in 3 years

Oh yea where is the WMD?

The fact that there is a war at all is bad enough.
Please spare us all from this jingoistic smalm posing as concern for troops.

clearly to some this war is a great cause
and to others it is a criminal shame.
posting in support of either IS offensive to the other

wish your loved ones well and hope for what we all want.
troops out of all overseas areas of conflict asap.

then we can have a debate about how our statesmen have failed us that it should ever have come to this.

Hi Shawn , One of the big reasons I am against the war in iraq is for the troops and there families ! They are too good to waste in a big mistake of a war .My ex-step dad was in the first war and always said that saddam hussein should have been thrown out then and I agree .. But that was then and the time passed . The recent war is a mistake . The real war is in Aganistan . This war was the product of the little boy- in -chief wanting to look tough after 9/11 and was as I also said the idea of some traitors at the Penatagon who want to use American troops and bodies to make the middle east safe for there holy little israel . The country and especially the militairy have been ripped off/ lied to / humbuged / decieved / betrayed .We're fighting and dying for another country not our own !

As far as the troops go as everyone here ses on tv everyday they are really being dumped on . Not only are they having to fight and die in a war thought up by traitors but there are other problems . there are not enough me so the same guys keep getting recycled in and out . Which the majors and colonels I hear talk about this at work say is awful for the men . There was also not enough of the right equipment including a lack of armor plating on vehicles that makes the guys sitting ducks .I also work with many people with family there and this in and out is playing hell on there familys . People see a husband and dad go over and worry then come home only to go thru it all gain when he is sent back . As one woman at the front desk of the hotel I work at whose husband has been in iraq twice and is going back soon said " this is nothing but another chnce for them to get my husband killed " .rumsfeld and the neocons never sent enough troops over so the war will never relay be won and will go on and on until the American people say no more .

Must say another word about the people that DO NOT care about the troops . Starting at the top with the little richboy -in -chief who comes froma world that looks down on blue collar people who make up most of the army . To him they are probably just working class slugs who don't matter in the end . There only benefit from his perspective is to win a war so little georgey can look tough . Lets not forget he also weaseled out of service as a young man too . probably a mix of being a chicken and snobbery . the same thing for cheney .The neocons who thouht the war up are alot alike .They probaby do not even see the soldiers as being human either . Maybe they are even worse . Although 110% pro israel those guys never were in the israeli army . Guess they were too scared or too big of elitests to be in that army too . You don't see bush's daughters or wolfowitz's kids in iraq or in the service . I'd bet everything I own if one of any of there kids even wanted to marry a gi they'd scream to high heaven and be all embaressed.

So for the trops sake lets get them out and also start impeachment proceedings so no more people will have to be sacrificed for someone's ego and the treason of the neocons .

I'm content to bring this back to the surface, without further comment from me.
