Questions for Thailand

Postby Dolly on Fri Jul 15, 2005 11:13 am

Hi, I am getting married in Thailand in December this year. We just contacted the hotel and asked them if they could arrange it, so we have our own wedding planner. So far everything is going fine. We are getting married in Phuket. We have got friends and family coming out. The signing of paper work in Bangkok seems to be fine too, we are staying there for a couple of nights and going to Phuket.

Any questions let me know!

did you book your flights and hotel before you asked about weddingpackages?
How much is it gonna cost you?

No, we looked the hotel up on the net and asked them for a price and then booked the hotel and flights. The hotel is via an agent and not with the hotel as it was a lot cheaper. As we are staying for a month in total (we are going to Langkawi and Dubai for a honeymoon) we didn’t want to do a package.

The wedding cost is about £500 for the garden and more for the chapel. It looks lovely on there site and we are now arranging for us to go for dinner with our guests. You do have to pay extra for photo's etc but it is not bad.

They are really helpful.

500£? just for the ceremony??
Or does that include food or anything?

It includes flowers for both of us and flowers around the chairs, the use of the grounds and stuff like that. I don't think is too bad compared to the prices in the UK. I think also a glass of fizz stuff too.
