Hi,
Can anyone offer me some advice? I am planning on getting my marriage "blessed" in Phuket or on one of the neighbouring islands around Xmas 2006. We should have around 20 guests, and will have had a registry office "do" in the UK before we go - so the "blessing" will be something of our own invention.
I am wondering if anyone can advise on places to stay where we could all be accomodated. I'm not keen on us getting lost in a huge hotel, but we wouldn't all fit in a Villa (which was our first choice, but we'd need to put people in a hotel as well, which may defeat the object of the exercise).

Any suggestions? Has anyone done anything similar?

Thanks!!!
Boo

We are planning exactly the same, though we are having our 'blessing' in Phuket because family and friends who will be travelling with us, will not be able to attend our civil ceremony.

We have been in touch with several sites recently and are awaiting replies. You could try:

Sorry I can't help any more but good luck with your plans.

Hi , I hope I can help, we have just got married in Kata Beech Phuket,

We stayed at the Andaman Cannicia resort and spa hotel and it would be perfect for a wedding party of 20, as the hotel is family based and the owner and family are wonderful.

We got married at the hotel and did the Buddist ceremony and the cristian ceremony, engagement party on the beach the night before + a romantic meal on the wedding evening in the hotel.

Also my husbands sister also got married 4 days after us.

If i can be of any help, please dont hesitate to ask.
