Hi I'm not a member, just a guest, but, though I like your forum very much, I find the very rude comments upsetting. Not only mean spirited and hurtful, but they disrupt perfectly good threads and often chase away a thread creator just because they don't happen to agree with her point of view. I'm not talking about myself, as I don't post, but I read the posts and some of them get ugly. My suggestion would be to look into Craigslist's "flagging" approach and see if you could not implement it here. In Craigslist, two flags for anyone of a number of proscribed reasons and the post is gone. Anybody can "flag" a post there but here you would probably want to reserve that right to registered members. Some people abuse the system in Craigslist but on the whole it works pretty well and it is the users themselves that police the site. "Flagging" a post that is only meant to to harm to the original poster or thwart the thread would be more satisfying than responding to it and the thread can continue without further harm. There is a post in this group about the sluttiest thing one has ever done. It is over 30 pages long, yet these negative people keep on reading it and posting their poison pen responces. It might be only half the size, or less, if these negative posts were deleted. Just my opinion.
