This is going to sound really morbid, but part of me comes to this place JUST to see what Fred is spouting off on.. No, what he is spouting and on what topic! I know it will be fairly predictable, but his hard line stand on EVERYTHING becomes humorous after a while.

That is why I say he has to be pulling our chains. No one else goes to that extreme to make a point. He has to be yanking our cranks, I am SO convinced of that!
Welcoming Fred75 to the wonderful world of truth and social justice of the MODERN LIBERAL

Funny, but when I came to this forum first and encountered Fred's posts, my thoughts were along the lines of "I wish someone would shut this lunatic up" and "why doesn't Admin ban him" but I find now that I actually look forward to seeing what he posts, even if I know in advance that I'm not going to agree with anything much he says.

And not only, as you say, "his hard line stand on EVERYTHING becomes humorous after a while", but he has even shown on occasions that he has a sense of humour (and a rather self-deprecating one at that) which rather surprised me.

The forum would not be the same without Fred.

These are interesting times with Fred. Take a look at this response to the betrayal of the neocons to his philosophy. I think you see some genuing intelligence there.

Can't say I noticed that - I'll have to give it a second look.

I'm saying they were both highly promiscuous bisexuals. Bowie presumably still is.

Reading that I find no EVOLUTIONARY justification.
He states that some animals do it.
Sure, dogs denied access to bitches do it get get their nuts off so they don't get prostate cancer... and I see no reason for other animals to do the same. They have no opposing thumb to jack off with!

It still comes down to the fact that evolution is a process that favors passing GOOD genes over bad so man can adapt.
Well, gay men can't get each other pregnant!

Again... someone EXPLAIN the EVOLUTION of genetic dead ends?
Because the only explanations I can see are
A) genetic DEFECTS
B) It's a BEHAVIOR (just like the dogs do when there are no BITCHES to be had.

Among animals, homosexual behaviour is usually non-exclusive. For instance, in some populations of Japanese macaques, females prefer female sexual partners to male ones but still mate with males – they are bisexual, in other words.

It has also been suggested that homosexuality boosts individuals' reproductive success, albeit indirectly. For instance, same-sex partners might have a better chance of rising to the top of social hierarchies and getting access to the opposite sex. In some gull species, homosexual partnerships might be a response to a shortage of males – rather than have no offspring at all, some female pairs raise offspring together after mating with a male from a normal male-female pair.

Another possibility is that homosexuality evolves and persists because it benefits groups or relatives, rather than individuals. In bonobos, homosexual behaviour might have benefits at a group level by promoting social cohesion. One study in Samoa found gay men devote more time to their nieces and nephews, suggesting it might be an example of kin selection (promoting your own genes in the bodies of others).
