Actually Fred, this may surprise you, but I voted for the Married and able to support children option. Not that I would say that being married is absolutely essential, but (if the marriage is built on strong foundations) it is certainly more desirable than someone bringing up a child as a sole parent which, though it can be done successfully, is much more difficult and calls for much more sacrifice than in a sound marriage. And, although you may not approve, I would consider a long term, stable de facto relationship in this case to be pretty much the same as marriage. And, regardless of all other factors, it is essential that the parents (or parent) be able to provide moral and physical support for the child.

The age is set at 16 for heterosexuals and homosexuals.
That age is proper.
I disagree as puberty in boys and girls starts at around 11 and finishes at around 13. So pubecesents have strong sexual urges and desires from around the start of their teens. That is why about one in three people have sex before they are 16. I am against legislating for a legal age. The age at which people are old enough to have sex should find its own level. For some that might be at the onset of puberty for others much later but there should not be a strict rule for all that bans all sexual activity before 16 as people develop sexually at different rates.
