| i had sex for the first time last month and then i worried so much that iw as 6 days late for my period. I ended up buying a home pregnancy test on the 6th day of having no period, but before i could get home to test, my period came and i swear i was never so happy that it had come.on july 26th, a day after my period had ended, me and my boyfriend had sex again, twice this time, both times protected. It was discomforting for me.now that its been 4 days, i have discovered a bit of brown discharge after going for a swim. i am now quite worried as i have no idea what the brown discharge would be since i just had my period a week ago. regularly, i would be ovulating at about this time but seeing that ,my period was late, i shouldnt be ovulating yet. what could the brown discharge be a cause of.could i be pregnant? |

It might be that you had sex too roughly and it made you bleed. It could be that you ruptured some of your hymen.
Read about your hymen here: [url[/url]
However, you won't know till you buy a pregnancy test.
You say you used protection and I assume this means condoms. That is good! It reduces the chance of you 1. being pregnant 2. catching a sexually transmitted disease.
Remember to use a condom everytime you have sex to prevent you from catching a disease. You are even more at risk if you have a cut in your vagina and you don't use a condom. You can read about all the diseases you could catch here:
It is probably a wise idea to go on the pill or other contraceptive as well as use condoms to ensure that you do not get pregnant. The pill stops you from producing an egg every month so your period is only womb lining. You can make an appointment to see your family doctor or go to a clinic to get a prescription for the pill.
In the UK the pill is absolutely free! All you do is take your prescription and go to a chemist like Boots to collect it. And there are all different types to suit you. The pill often makes your periods lighter and more regular too. So there's a lot of good reasons to take it.
After I started taking the pill, I definitely felt more in control of my body. If you have any more questions just ask! |

| but if the blood was a cause of my hymen being ruptured wouldnt it have happened right away and not four days later? Also, since then, there is still a small amount of brownish discharge every day.anymore input? and yes we did use condoms. |

If you still have a discharge then I would suggest going to see the doctor. However, it's probably nothing worse than a hymen tear or a cut inside your vagina. It's highly unlikely that you are pregnant if you used condoms.
I would suggest going to see the doctor anyway to go on the pill. He/she will also be able to reassure you far better than anyone on a web forum.
Good luck! |
