Lets all sing along together!
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded." Obama.

Why, Ms. Lena. Don't you know this country survived on slave labor for quite some time? Republicans are "traditional," and tradition says we go way back in time to the haves and have nots, like you described.

you're missing a select few that go along those lines too, BW!

But yes, greed and unethical behavior, and Constitutional abuse is a republican Utopia! To those with any sense at all, it is basically anarchy! Law enforcement gets cut back, as money needs to go to some bureaucrat's warchest for re-election promising to put more cops on the street. Corporations operate on a profit motivation. No secret there. The problem is, republicans believe what's good for big business is good for everyone, and that is entirely untrue. Corporations are making incredible profits not having to pay livable wages, health benefits, etc... because they are shipping the jobs overseas. The products made overseas are not as high quality, and cost even more, regardless of the huge savings on the labor. They charge the same money they would had it been manufactured locally. Also, they don't have tight quality controls in places like China, so we are being poisoned while corporate CEO's are getting paid big bucks for it. Now that is but one scenario of how the repub platform fails, how is that good for everyone? So right out of the gate, they are bullshit.

Oil companies recorded the highest profits ever in 2008. Yet the repubs want to give $4 billion in tax breaks to them. Good for everyone? What bullshit line of reasoning will they give for hiking gas to $5 per gallon next summer with those tax breaks? It's S***, and everyone with half a brain see it, so that says a lot about those that DON'T!

:D

Just think if the tax breaks and grants given to oil, mining, weapons manufacturers, tobacco, pharmaceutical and agribusiness concerns was redirected into better healthcare and tax cuts for average workers - you could have your cake and eat it too - but of course the big bosses, and their lawyers, bankers and accountants, would be missing out on their exorbitant and unearned payouts...

And so the world turns..

ya gotta love how all this conservatism works. They want small government, but small government can't oversee the wall street thugs raping everyone. They want low takes, but complain when a chunk of concrete falls on their benz because roads and bridges are falling apart. They don't want national health care, but turn around and call people hurt on the job that can't afford insurance slackers. They want people working slave hours and wages, but support the exporting of jobs because it makes big business money. The CEO's, whose job is to make shareholders money, then take mega bonuses from money that should go to the stockholders. They don't want high taxes, yet they are all for a war that cost about $10 billion dollars a month, and believe that money is going to grow on trees. Now, a 700 billion dollar bailout plan was rejected, in favor of a pork laden 840 billion dollar plan, pressed by GWB! Now their response will be, "the liberals voted for that!" They will convenitently leave out the fact McCain did too! Mr. "No more pork money" republican pres candidate!!!!! Look for a bunch of easily manipulated figures to be thrown into the fray to cover the smell of the bullsh!t !!!
