Do men like to see women barefoot or in stockings feet ?

Postby Guest on Sun Jun 22, 2008 12:31 am

I sometime slip off my shoes at work, mainly at my desk and possibly a quick run to the printer or office supply cabinet without my shoes. I have noticed that my boss and another man in my office seem to be fasinated when they notice my lack of shoes, they appear to go out of their way to look at or talk about my barefeet. Why are men so fasinated with barefoot women?

Some men are as strongly attracted to a woman's bare feet as other men are to more traditional parts of a woman's body. This is probably more information than you would like to know; it means they are more-or-less leering at you. It is not a common attraction so I am not sure if you could complain about it, but if it is getting bad enough that it makes you uncomfortable you might consider wearing socks when you leave your desk.

If you can consider this a bright side, it also means that you are more attractive to men than you ever realised. Not all women have attractive feet.

Wow, what we have here is an expert. Obviously, you're not aware that in the fetish world, feet are the most common area of attraction. It sounds to me that you have a problem with admiration from the opposite gender with your little "leering" remark.

My copy of Abnormal Psychology by Ronald J. Comer (Second Edition:1995, W.H. Freeman and Company) describes fetishism as "recurrent, intense sexual urges, sexually arousing fantasies, or behaviors that involve the use of a non-living object, often to the exclusion of all other stimuli."

A person's foot can hardly be considered a non-living object. Therefore, the term "foot fetish" is itself a misnomer. This is especially true when you consider the "exclusion of all other stimuli" aspect.

Fetishists are aroused by the fetish object exclusively, and have a hard time engaging in sexual activity when the object is not involved. Most men who appreciate seeing a woman in her bare feet are still capable of being aroused through all of the other normal means.

It is true that a woman in her bare feet is incredibly sexy, but it's for completely natural reasons. It isn't some kind of perversion for a man to find barefoot women appealing.

Check out this quote from the web site http://www.realbarefootgirls.com:

The barefoot girl, because she is in closer contact with the Earth, is actually a more highly evolved creature than the girl who wears shoes. In a direct comparison, the barefoot girl...
    - has stronger, healthier feet.
    - has increased blood flow throughout her body.
    - has better reflexes.
    - has a stronger immune system.
    - has a better developed brain.
The barefoot girl is what nature would select if Natural Selection still acted on the human species.

And, because we are particularly attracted to her, that makes you and I more highly evolved as well. By consciously seeking out this highly evolved counterpart, we will create a stronger legacy for our species.

It is also a well-known fact that, in the animal kingdom, conspicuous display of sexually appealing attributes is often used as a way to attract the opposite sex. By showing her beautiful bare feet, a woman is using a billion-year-old, tried-and-true, natural method to attract you.

In this case, taking your shoes off at the office has essentially the same effect as dressing up before you go out - like putting makeup and jewelry on, wearing flattering clothing, etc. It is making you more appealing to the opposite sex. It does not, however, mean that they are "leering" at you.

There isn't any reason for you to feel uncomfortable when you take your shoes off. It's perfectly natural, comfortable and healthy. The best solution, in my opinion, would be to encourage other women in the office to do the same. Then, you wouldn't feel like you were being singled out. Plus, if all the women in the office were barefoot all the time, eventually the effect would wear off, and the men would stop paying any attention to it.

"Do yourself a favor and get a grip"

I'm sorry, I should have made myself clear. I am a man who finds a female foot attractive. The potential problem that I see here is not that the men find her attractive in that way, but that they are approaching her in her work environment and then talking about them. If these men were staring at her chest and then talking to her about how nice it was people would be expecting her to scream harrasment. I am pointing out that the men's motivation is probably sexual, and she should be aware of that.

Thanks for all of the advice, I appreciate it.
I have been trying to keep my shoes on more at work, I guess I find it embarrassing when they comment about my bare feet. Most of the time I don't think any one else would even notice if they did not comment, but if the comment about it, I notice that everyone looks at my feet.

Um... perhaps they are just commenting on it because most people do wear their shoes in the office. I'm sure you'd have the same reaction if someone wore or omitted to wear something which made them stand out. Now you may have amazing feet and they may ALL be foot fetishists, but it's unlikely. Anyway they're not necessarily perverts, and I suspect you do it because you like the attention, otherwise you'd wear socks or comfortable shoes.

I have a theory, That women that take nice care of there feet usually take nice care of themselves all over. So If i notice a woman has nicely taken care of feet then I am going to guess that she takes very good care of herself. and any and every woman who takes nice care of herself is a turn on to me.
