Just read this in Candorville. Here is a template for Fred’s arguments:
“If we allow (plural noun):_______________ to (verb):_____________, it will destroy the institutions of (sacred noun):______________________ and then where will we be.”
And here’s Fred’s really vicious template:
“Plus, it would give our children the wrong idea. They’d grow up thinking it’s ok to (disastrous verb):_______________ with (disgusting noun):_________________, and that’s just wrong and immoral.”
Anyone else? Let’s catalogue hairy-back so we don’t have to listen anymore.
Claiming an argument follows a template is a short-sighted way to analyze the thought process behind any argument. In fact, this method of analysis follows no logic whatsoever. Everyone has a writing style, which tends to reveal itself in the authors writings.
In order to analyze what is attempted to be conveyed by any given individual, it is most beneficial to determine at which level the individual is communicating. Before the level of communication can be established regarding any orator, it is beneficial to obtain an understanding of the brain circuit model of human development. Once the understanding of the brain circuit model is grasped, it becomes easy to analyze both the individual person and why the individual communicates at any particular level. The level of communication also becomes readily apparent.
The following is a brief description of each circuit. Circuits 1-4 involve the normal personality of an individual, and is available to everyone. Circuits 5-8 are available only to those who put forth an effort to open them.
Circuit 1. Biosurvival. This circuit is functioning and intact at birth. The biosurvival circuit engages to preserve life when faced with danger. Dominance of this circuit overrides all other circuits.
Circuit 2. Ego. This circuit begins development at about the age of 2. The ego circuit places the individual at the center of the universe with an understanding that everyone else exists to serve them. Development of the circuit is recognized by the child using the words “me”, “mine”, “no”, etc. Dominance within the societal framework is controlled by this circuit. Incidently, the term ego in reference to this circuit has nothing to do with the Freudian concept of the ego.
Circuit 3. Rational Thinking. This circuit begins to develop at about the age of 3-4 and continues to develop until the age of 7-8. Logic, consequences of decisions, and figuring out “why” and “how” are all part of this circuit.
Circuit 4. Sexual Circuit. The development of the sexual circuit begins at about the age of 7-8. During development of this cycle, gender and sexual roles are formed. The learning of certain societal rules of order coincide with the development of this cycle.
Circuit 5. Enlightened Ego. This circuit is engaged by experiences involving ecstacy of any sort (intellectual, physical, emotional). These experiences could include religious experiences, intense orgasm, meditation, highly intellectual thinking, or intense involvement in music.
Circuit 6. Enlightened Instinct. This circuit involves faith and spiritual matters. In the Eastern society, this circuit is analogous to satori, and consequently one who as obtained satori has opened this circuit. Faith healing, prayer, and healing others occur at this level. People who can clearly see the answer to prayer have attained this level. Enlightened instinct also reveals true human nature.

If an individual introduces ideas that have their origins in brain circuits 5-7, the ideas introduced cannot be understood by anyone who has not attained these levels. There are absolutely no exceptions to this. In essence, answers to questions or discovering inner beliefs that were not specifically asked can be uncovered or obtained. While this may sound underhanded, it is not done with any evil intent. The person operating in the realm of circuits 5-7 does this purely with the intent of advancing the other individual.
It should be clear who is capable of discussion at any given level. Certain discussions occur at multiple levels. This is clear by examining the contributions to any specific discussion. Since this thread is about Fred, I shall add that Fred is clearly capable, based upon his post content, of discussing matters at the level of brain circuit 6 or above.

At any other time I would agree with you, but the point is that hairy-back’s arguments are so diagnosable that you can map them. You missed the point. The reason I presented it this way was to pose the message in the context, not in what is said.

Are they at ego, or something far less? Indeed, are they at biosurvival, as I suspect, given that they are dead in the political water and destined to be indicted by the Rome Court. If we are to look at _________ (subject matter in question) from the _________ (insert multi-syllabic advanced college word) perspective, it is quite evident that _________ (the opposite of what Cambridge is stating) is obvious to even the most casual observer. It is clear that evidence from _________ (quote research article) supports this position. Logical analysis cannot support __________ (insert Cambridge's postion here), therefore it must be dismissed under the grouds of __________ (insert fancy Latin term here).

Most every one who holds a political office orates from circuit level 2, Hillary included. There is probably intellectual thinking occuring in the background somewhere, but it is most likely suppressed because the last thing that is of interest to the public is the truth.
Any real intellectual thinking coming out of the political arena would typically come from advisors. Norman Schwarzkopf would be a classical example of one orating from the intellectual thinking circuit, and was quite an effective communicator at the intellectual level. He also had a great respect from the press, which is rare in today's society. Alan Greenspan is yet another example.
A polititian who orates from the intellectual thinking level would appear boring as compared to their flambuoyant counterpart orating through ego. This is why Ron Paul would never be president.
Logic, reasoning, and investigation of facts, however, are of utmost importance when a crime invoving a Polititian occurs. This is because no one can prosecute another person using arguments orated from the ego circuit alone.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is one who orates from ego and biosurvival. This makes him a dangerous person. There is no hint of orated intellectual thinking on the part of this man, even though he has an PhD in engineering.

George Bush ... well ... Carlos Mencia has a higher IQ than Bush. Bush, in my opinion, has been orating from fear, not confidence or intelligence. I believe you are correct, they are operating primarily from ego, but ego eventually degrades to biosurvival mode when under pressure If they were operating from an intellegence circiut, they would be solving problems, not creating them. For example, the US modus operandi when dealing with terrorism is analogous to hitting a bee hive with a baseball bat, and standing around to see what happens. Terrorism is a threat (regardless of whether it is real or perceived), so ego degrades to biosurvival, so the war (biosurvival) takes over.
Bush is basically the same category as Ahmadinejad. If Ahmadinejad lead the strongest nation on Earth, Ahmadinejad would be destroying the US. So, it comes down to the issue of military strength. Once Ahmadinejad gets a nuclear weapon, he will use it (ego again degrading to biosurvival). If you look at the words of both leaders, they follow the same patterm. There's just a different enemy. There is not much difference between the two leaders is my estimation.
One thing that I think we should look at is what is actually begin said, not how it is being said. Filter out all the emotion, filter out all the ego-driven retterick, and filter out all the inaccuries of fact, and, in the case of many politicians, words are spoken, but nothing is actually said. The discussions on this forum have more substance than the public discussions found in politics.

Leave poor sweet little Fred alone. I have found that there are actually (this is hard to write) times when he knows what he's writing about. I learned something over the weekend by one of his post. Of course I did my own checking of other sources and found he was correct.
