My boyfriend has gone away to live with his family the other side of the country for a month, while his mum and dad go travelling. They didn't trust to leave him alone in their house for that length of time so sent him to his nan's - despite him being nearly 18.
He lives really close to me and in the 2 months we've been going out the longest i've gone without seeing him is 3 days. He was devestated that he had to go away and i love him so much. I'm missing him already and it's been 2 days - what the hell am i goin to do? He says he'll ring me every night and he's even sorted out for me to go down there aswell, but theres noway i'd be able to go - with parents, work, college ect.
I'm feeling really down at the minute and can't wait for him to come back, and i'v got this niggly feeling that he could meet someone else even though i trust him entirely. Help! |

| hmm tricky! Not sure about that one - but separation makes the heart grow fonder. |

Try and keep yourself as busy as possible, look forward to his phones calls, and try to keep living your life. Although the time will seem to drag, believe me when you get over half way the time will fly by, at least it's not a permanent move. Keep smiling |

Hey, trust me when i say i know exactly how you feel - i live in scotland and my boyf left 3 weeks ago for america - hes doing a volunteer programme, and thankfully it only lasts a month - ive only got a week to go but i really feel for u coz i know it was hard for me...ive spoken to him once since he left coz hes travelling and cant phone or email.
So the way i get over it?? - well, ive tried to keep busy with work, i gave myself a task which was to lose around 10 pounds by the time he came home, honestly its not happened but ive toned up a lot - by walking, running, dancing etc..for me, it was easier just to spend some time going out with my friends and getting things done in preperation for him coming home - buying new clothes, getting my hair done and a manicure/pedicure stuff - its a total cliche, but keep yourself busy and i promise the days will pass quicker! |

| I know how you feel my bf and I have been together for 6 months now and for the past year we saw each other just about everyday. He is currently gone for 4 months to work on a fishing boat on the coast about 20 hrs away. He can't call me very often because he's living on a boat and the satellite phone is out of service sometimes for 5 days and he works 18 hr days 7 days a week. Once in awhile he is able to email me when they come into port and has only been able to call me 3 times this month. It kills me and its hard. So I can honestly say I know what you are feeling. I write letters to him every few days and even though I have no where to send them it makes me feel better and I can give them to him when he comes home. I have also tried to keep myself busy with friends, work, and a spring calculus course at the college. Maybe try to volunteer somewhere to. The busier you are the faster the months and days go by. Speaking from honest experience here. The worst thing you can do is watch romance movies and sit at home and think. |

Just keep regular contact with him, he will appreciate it and remember what you mean to him. I don't know if things have changed, but writing a letter can be sweet, and I know I'd love to get one in that situation.
When he comes back, it'll all be normal, no worries, maybe even better! |
