Hi,
I'm 32 and living with my boyfriend. We've been together for two and a half years and I'm desperate for him to propose. He's just turned 29. He was against marriage, his parents had a messy divorce which he says isn't a factor but I think it is, that and the fact that he doesn't feel ready, both of which I understand but he knows how important marriage is to me and he seems to be coming around now, and talks about marriage more positively. When I mentioned getting engaged the other day, I was astounded when he said he's seen a ring he wants to buy me, but that he wants it to be a suprise so I'm to forget about it. The problem is that I'm completely obsessed with the idea, and I'm not convinced a proposal is as immenent as he's making out. Therefore I need some help to try and forget about it until he asks me, if he ever does. I know it sounds pathetic in this day and age to feel like this, but it's so important to me that I'm finding it impossible not to mention and I don't want to blow it. I'm just so excited that I've found him and love him so much that I want marry him. I've got a big family, a great job, tons of friends, loads going on in my life to distract me but for some reason this is consuming me. Please help! Thanks.

Go to the gym work out every day. You need to put that energy somewhere. You'll be so tired you won't even bother him about a ring. Plus you'll be in shape for your wedding.
