Sadly this issues is but one more sign of our ailing NHS.
Far too little of our taxpayer's contributions reach the front line of diagnosing and treating our people.
People's care is now rationed according to (often) quite arbitary qualifying rules plus the postcode lottery system caused by devolved budgeting to local officials - todays' equivalent of the robber barons of old.
Add to that the ever growing number of NHS executives with fancy job titles and telephone number salaries that do not actually do anything of a medical nature.
M Carr is merely a symptom. This matter will soon blow over and be forgotten because people do not care enough. |

YES
The NHS is there for people who are sick.
The NHS should not fund breast enlargement or reductions, tattoo removal nor infertility treatment.
My last comment may should harsh, but there are many people who are left to die each year because of lack of funding, whilst money is spent on treating people who are not ill. |

This is the key here, elective surgery should only be funded by the NHS when all the people that are ill/infirm or suffering from injury have been treated properly. Until that time all elective/cosmetic surgery should be paid for by the indivuals involved. |
