hello everyone

i am a straight, sexually active woman, and i wanted to know if anyone out there agrees with me that vaginas are actually really ugly.
don't get me wrong, i LOVE owning one - to all those guys, and all the girls will agree with me, sexual intercourse from a female point of is absolutely wonderful and you can do so many things to it that feel so good, but i still find them to be very ugly.

anyone agree with me? male, female, straight, gay, bi, all opinions are valued

I love women, but have to say that some are ugly. Some are really sexy and hot.

As a guy, I think penises are funny things. They just hang out there and sometimes move about. In the winter they crawl away almost in the cold. In the summer, your balls and dick stick to the side of your thigh and you have to strategically maneuver about to loosen the boys and headmaster to get them realigned into position. But having a dick and balls is great. Cause ya see, they get to play with the vaginas, some of them, ugly or not, come with some rather wonderful owners. And, I sould say, some really pretty ones sometimes come with rather unpleasant owners. The funny thing is that even an ugly looking pussy... nah, who am I kidding, the ugly pussy will still remain ugly, but the guy (or gal for that matter) that loves you, will think the world of your pussy and want to play with it.

And here is one thing that I always laughed about but whcih Robin Williams said best: Why the hell did down place a waste-plant running right through a recreational area?

I'm fairly ambivalent about them. Can't say I've seen anything terribly repulsive or fabulously attractive. I do prefer them hairless, lasered is better than waxing or shaving. So I guess on some level a narly bushy mons just looks as bad as forgetting to go to the hairdresser for a few years.

There was a comedienne I saw on TV who pretty much made an apt description: the woman's sex organ is nicely tucked away, whereas with a man, it looks like someone started to fold something, but got distracted and then things just started flopping all over the place.

I agree that they vary enormously. Personally I like the ones that are just like a slit until they are opened up. I must admit that I'm not too keen on lips that protude significantly and lips that are not more or less symmetrical.

I also love to see girls with hairy pubes, but irrespective of whether you agree, I would add that I think that hair has a 'softening' effect on the appearance of the vagina - and if it's less than perfect, that will be a lot more obvious if a girl is shaven.

I find it peculiar that you would find public hair to have a 'softening' effect on the look of a vagina.

That would be like saying a man with a full beard looks 'softer' than a clean-shaven man. And yet if you check out any man who works in sales (eg, car sales, software sales, whatever), you'll notice that they're almost always devoid of facial hair. There's just something psychologically more welcoming about the clean-shaven look. Maybe it has something to do with chaos vs order. *shrug*

There was a time when pubic hair turned me on. Many, many, MANY years ago. Maybe something to do with coming of age? "Me man, me adult! RAAR!" I got over it, though. Now I'm about as keen on my own pubic hair as I am of just letting my facial hair grow wild.

What I mean by 'softening' is that with a shaven woman, the vagina is exposed in a very graphic way and is likely to to be the specific focus of a guy looking at that area. Any little flaws that worry the woman are likely to be explicitly obvious. But with pubic hair, the vagina is less explicitly exposed and together with the hair around it becomes a much larger focus of attention. I would be turned on by a whole erogenous zone rather than specifically a vagina.

This viewpoint may not be completely shared by anyone less enthusiastic about pubic hair, but you can't argue with the exposure aspect!

I would be more turned on by an erogenous zone as well, which is precisely why I don't like hair cluttering up my view.

So long as we're splitting hairs (sorry, couldn't resist the pun), the vagina is strictly speaking something internal. It sounds like you're also referring to the vulva and the mons pubis. I think I'd be a little alarmed at finding the walls of the vagina covered in hair. Razz

That out of the way, the pubic hair itself is to me the biggest blemish, and even having any sort of imperfection there is about as good a reason for keeping pubic hair as it would be for me to grow a beard because I had a zit.

But you enjoy it, and I'm sure that you'll have no difficulty finding women who aren't comfy with the notion of going smooth. Perfect match, I'd say.

As mentioned, the exposure aspect is precisely why I like the hairlessness. To use another analogy, it would be like saying you love the form of a woman, but only if she were dressed for an Arctic expedition. Wouldn't want to risk revealing any bodily imperfections, eh?

G Wizard: you're putting considerable effort into presenting a cutting satire of my point of view but I can't work out why; I'm only expressing a personal view and it's hardly likely to influence women to stop shaving. I don't know if you find it offensive that I don't find every exposed vagina (or vaginal opening, if you want to nit pick) attractive, but that's what this thread is about. I'm not claiming that the average penis looks any better! Finally, as you're so keen to not 'soften' anything under a covering of hair, you've no doubt persuaded your partner to shave her head and explicitly reveal the shape of her head.

"Cutting satire"? Please. I already gave you credit for having a preference which is matched by at least some members of the opposite sex.

Rather than giving it a dramatic name, let's call it for what it is: logic.

Quote:

Or start shaving. Or trim more. Or less. Etc. And it may come as a shock to you (heck, as long as we're using dramatic labels, 'shock' is one you could use), but I completely agree that you're only expressing a personal view. I also agree that it's hardly likely to influence women to start/stop/etc shaving.

Well, except for the edge cases which are sitting on the fence. And I don't know that I'd saddle you with the 'blame' (there's another label) should they happen to change vectors.

Quote:

Again, you're laying on the labeling a little thick. But continue.

Quote:
but that's what this thread is about.

Indeed it is. Well, it's about whether one finds the 'vagina' (to use the original reference) attractive, full stop. Not about whether it looks better with hair or without hair. So technically we've both gone off into the weeds.

Quote:
Finally, as you're so keen to not 'soften' anything under a covering of hair, you've no doubt persuaded your partner to shave her head and explicitly reveal the shape of her head.

You wouldn't be far off.

She used to have long locks down her back when I met her. She's now sporting short, curly hair which exposes most of her neck and her ears.

She finds it quite liberating. As an added bonus, a patch of skin on her upper back where she used to suffer from chronic eczema cleared up and has only rarely (and briefly) returned.

She could easily go much shorter with it, and I wouldn't be the least bit alarmed or put off.

Your analogy isn't all that bad, although I can't say the same for your attempt to derail me. Consider the following:

1. It's highly unlikely I'll ever be running my tongue through her scalp, and even less likely that I'll be using my tongue to seek out a cleft there.

2. What with her ears and neck more exposed, I'm far more predisposed to play with those orally. Even if it's just to snuffle and kiss with my lips.

No disrespect, but if you want a highly-intellectual battle of wits on this subject, I can't really help due to limited time and inclination. I don't see how on earth I could "derail" you as your commitment to hairlessness seems even greater than my enthusiasm for hairly girls. But regarding your oral sex point, you can't believe that people didn't engage in this before the shaving fashion took off; they simply were not conditioned into thinking it was a 'problem' for their tongue to make contact with pubic hair, so many people found it highly erotic. I imagine that even today, a substantial proportion of people would prefer to explore pubic hair with their tongue rather than ears!

I don't know that my commitment to hairlessness is any greater than your commitment to hirsutism, but okay.

And no, I don't disagree that people engaged in oral sex before the shaving/waxing/lasering fashion took off. I myself engaged in it way back when. I thought I mentioned this already, but without going to look for it, I'll say it now: There was a time when I found pubic hair arousing, and I grew out of that phase.

I also don't know that I thought of it as a 'problem' making oral contact with pubic hair, but I gradually developed a dislike for getting a mouthful of hair (especially loose ones) when my actual objective was skin-to-skin contact (whether tongue to clit, lips to labia, whatever). It kind of kills the mood somewhat to say "Hold on a sec... got a hair in my mouth" then go fishing around for it.

If you don't find that to be a nuisance, then I say more power to you.

I'm trying to understand your last sentence, though. In case I was misunderstood somewhere, I'm not really interested in exploring a woman's sex using my ears. Wink

Or if you're saying that most would prefer to explore a woman's sex with their tongue rather than exploring a woman's ear with their tongue, you're probably right there. I certainly consider myself among the minority with preferring a woman's exposed neck and ear, given my observation that the overwhelming majority of men prefer women with long hair.

That said, I've little doubt that women like a little smooching prior to the man burying his face in her crotch. And from my experience, some kissing/nibbling of the ear can quite easily increase the degree to which she gets hot and bothered.
