lets get this right, leona has never stated that she sings like mariah carey.
and as great as mariah carey has done, she should show respect to other artists, I do not think for one minute leona sees mariah as competition, she admires the greats to much. perhaps leona should stop respecting people who cannot make a good comment accept about themselves. she is leona and sounds like leona and she is leona, get that fact mariah.

I'm afraid it's move over Mariah, she may have been an outstanding singer in the 90's but she's lost her touch, after seeing her perform on American Idol I can safely say that. I think it's a bit harsh of Mariah, especially as she is one of Leona's idols.

i think mariah has officialy flushed her career and a large part of her fan base don the toilet by adding this comment, think she,s been skating on thin ice for years now, and this might be the final straw...its a pity, because i was a fan once upon a time.

I've heard the trills in all of Mariah's songs since "Vision of Love" and I gotta tell you somethin', she's been copying the black gospel artists. They're the ones who created all those trills, not Mariah. So when people say "Leona's copying Mariah,that's not true at all".

i think leona does mariah`s police car to a T , you know the wailing like an english police car. she does it on that bleeding song half way thru have a listen.
