trying to concieve after coming off the pill

Hi

Can anybody help Confused

Or answer a few questions.
I'm 30 yrs old, just got married in Dec. Have been on the pill
for 15 years, Microgynon first then Dianette for the past year.
Finished pill in Jan '08, had 7 dy withdrawal bleed as normal, for the next 2 weeks had headaches, nausea, bloatiness, SPOTS then 32
days later had my first 'proper period' as they say, which only lasted 3 days and was extrememly light, which is abnormal for me, was this my true period?????? Started taking Vit B6, which I thought was the answer to all my prayers........... Due to ovulate on Sat just past (1/03) woke up with awful cramps, spots lower back pain, my period isn't due for another 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is all these symptoms OVULATION or is my period on its way...........
I'm so confused, I know at my age I should know better, but I have never tried to conceive before and didn't really care how long my cycles where or whether I ovulated or not Laughing

I would luv to hear from ANYBODY who understands all this more than
me..........

you sounded just like me when i first came off the pill, thats why i started this forum!
lots of women have told me, that every womans cycle is different and now i know thats true.
im 28 id been on the pill for 9 years came off oct 07 had my normal period from taking the pill and then in dec i should have been due 27th but i didnt come on till 1st of jan which was my first true period and i knew it was because it was horrible!i do have headaches i dont no wether thats due to my body getting used to not having the pill anymore? and now my cycle is 32 days well it was, this month im on day 34 and still no period took a test which was negative so it very frustrating!!

i have always had bloatiness even when i was on the pill it always came about 2 weeks before my period and now after lookin at books talking to girls on the other forums i know its when im ovulting.
i feel sick and spots do pop up again when im due on!!
my periods change every month and it drives me mad, i know one thing? im never going back on the pill again my body must be messed up by it!

i do get bad cramps and i allways feel like im going to come on when im ovulating, ive only been trying for over 4 months and im getting used to it now!!

i do know what your going through tinkerbell, i thought this baby lark was going to be easy! all my mates got caught straight away, when it happens for me i do not know?
ive got to the point when im trying not to think about trying for a baby and just let nature takes its course. but its very hard sometimes.

Well i think ive finally done it!
ive taken 3 tests and they all say positive Very Happy

Ive been trying for nearly 5 months now!

Going to book a appointment with the doc next week and be 100% sure then i cant wait to tell everyone Very Happy

Hope everyone is ok? i havent been on here for abit, im always on the forum Helloo where is everyone!

Well i went to the doc`s y`day and he confirmed i was pregnant!
I cant believe it still, it hasnt sank in yet!
Its due in december, so thats going to be a expensive xmas!!

Fingers crossed for all you girls out there trying!

Yaaaay congratulations!!

I feel really bloated today - have gained 10 pounds since last weekend (unless my scales are wrong - was 10st 7lbs, then 10st 0lbs 4oz, now 10st 10lbs). But we've only been trying for 2 weeks...

I've not eaten or drunk a lot this weekend, so who knows. Maybe it's just lack of exercise. I read that a positive test won't show for at least 19 days, and that time hasn't passed yet.

How do these women get pregnant by missing just one pill, yet those of us that try deliberately take a while?

I came off the pill (Loestrin20) on sat, as my bf and I want to try for a baby when I get home from Uni, plus we both don't agree with the pill, I don't think I will go back on it again! The last couple of days I have really bad headacks which I never really get. Today I have had lower back pain, stomach pains and feeling sick! Is this normal? I hope my hormone levels go back to normal quickly

i came of the pill last oct and up until i got pregnant in march i didnt feel myself at all, i think its down to your body adjusting to not having the pill in your system anymore. i felt sick and alot of headaches and my monthly cycle was here there and everywhere, drove me mad!
just didnt feel myself and i dont want to go through all that again so im defo not going back on the pill again!!!

the pill can take time to come out your system, its different for everybody.
i was on the pill 9 years and yet it only took me just over 4 months to get caught, but i know other women who have been on the pill as long as me and they are still trying! its just one of them things.

I hope you feel yourself again soon!!
And pop on to the hello where is everyone forum theres women including myself just talking about trying to get pregnant, or who are pregnant on there, there a nice bunch a ladies very helpful..

i am like nat. i came off the pill in sept and got pregnant in feb.

when i came of the pill my body was all over the place. i had bad skin, sore boobs, feeling sick a lot.
they say it can take about 3 months to get out of your system.

i won't go back on it again. i felt well rough when it was getting out of my system.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and seem to be having similar problems to all of you... it's a refief to hear I'm not the only one!
I was on Dianette for 9years and came off it in August and took until March to get my period and have had no luck getting pregant.

I haven't had a period since... does anyone have any advice how I can get regular periods back... I presume I'm not ovulating if I'm not having regular periods?

I had acupuncture to help get my periods back but can't really afford to keep doing it as it costs £25 a time.

Someone mention vitamin B6?

Any help would be much appreciated... the whole thing is driving me mad!

I agree with every post i have read, i have been off the pill coming up to 8 months from being on the pill 8 year and i am still not having regular periods, the gap between each one varies all the time at one point it was 55 days! it's confusing and horrible. i have used 3 pregnancy tests each time disappointed when i see its negative. I also have bloating, backache and loads of spots, the most i've ever had - on my face, shoulders and back. I will never use the pill again, if i knew it would mess with my body like this i wish i'd come off years ago.

I know its hard trying to have a baby! thats why i started this forum so that everyone could relate to different girls and talk about there problems!
i was one of the lucky ones i guess? i was on the pill for 9 years finished the pill last oct and my periods was all over the place so trying to figure out when i was ovulating was a chore!
but believe me when i say try not the think about having a baby 24/7 cuz i did i stressed every month got my hopes up when i took a preggie test and then just got depressed cuz it was another negative!!

so in march i forgot about ovulating and trying for a baby and just de - stressed for a few weeks and i felt much better and then april 9th i did the usual p.o.a.s and to my amazment i was pregnant Shocked

i got so used to seing negative all the time that when a positive came up i was gob smacked Shocked

it took 8 test before my hubby would believe it too!

all i am saying is there is hope, i thought it was going to take years to get pregnant but it was only a few months! and now this sunday im 14 weeks pregnant! just try not to stress, try not to having a baby take over your life, cuz i did for a while and it just made me ill.

GOODLUCK TO EVERYONE!! AND IF YOU NEED A CHAT ANY ADVICE IM HERE! IM NO EXPERT BUT I HAVE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE RITE NOW AND I KNOW ITS REALLY HARD!!

Congrats on your pregnancy Nat, you must be so excited!

I'm new to the site and am also relieved to find that others are going through the same experiences as me!

I just came off the pill a month ago, had a bleed 2 days later and ovulated 2 weeks after that so I am now 10 days post ovulation, I have had the most painful boobs ever for the last 2 weeks as well as headaches, nausea and I had a tiny spot of blood on Saturday and have been desperate to do a test and finally gave in to the urge this morning using a clear blue but it showed 'not pregnant' Sad

Having read some of the messages on this site I'm now wondering if perhaps the symptoms I've been having are more withdrawal from the pill rather than actually being pregnant although I understand that it's still a bit early to test so maybe I'll try to wait until my period's due on Friday before doing another test - but it is soooo hard to put it out of your mind, isn't it?

I really do need to try to chill out a bit!

I'll keep you posted.
