Hi all! This is my first post on the site (I think so, anyway), and I just have a very general question. . .

I'm attending a wedding in November with my boyfriend. The wedding is of one of his co-workers, and I don't know her well enough to call up and ask how formal the wedding is, if there's a specific color scheme, etc. Usually I have no problem figuring out what to wear to weddings, but the most recent ones I've been to were all during the summer. I simply picked a cute sundress or casual cocktail dress, and I was set.

My question is this. . . what exactly does one wear to a November wedding? It's a bit cold for a sundress or something light, but the only warmer things I have are black and black at weddings = BAD!

Suggestions, anyone?

I suggest that your going to have to buy a newoutfit, probably in grey colour as that is very in this season but if not maybe plum or red, a rich colour. Cotail dress with a shrug or warm shall, and tights and you'll be fine. could you husband not ask how formal it is?

Hi there, I am a Personal Stylist for a major UK shopping store.

If you are attending ceremony and reception - then I feel its safe to wear anything formal...howver not grey!! too much of a funeral colour for me. I prefer Warmer shades of Berries and Reds Burgandy wines peach etc.for Winter weddings... be careful though - many brides tend to choose reds etc for bridesmaids and mother of the brides.
(I would feel you are very safe in teal! Brown! Blue (dark blue not navy)

However if its Evening only then- I would encourage you to invest in a sensible dress that is not too alluring, team this with a pashmina/shawl. Or even better a contrasting evening jacket.
For this event I recommend that you choose Electric Blue or gold.

Thanks to both of you!

I was thinking of wearing something in the red family since that's usually the color that looks best on me. However, the second response (I think both posts were from guests so I apologize for not knowing your name) did mention that a lot of brides choose red shades for bridesmaids. This might make my decision a little tougher, but I'm sure I'll figure something out.

My boyfriend said he'd ask the bride-to-be about the color scheme and how formal the event is when he sees her at work tomorrow. Until he comes home, I'll continue scratching my head and considering my options.

Thanks again for the input! Anyone else have any ideas?

Oh just kidding, my boyfriend just told me he'd spoken with his coworker (the bride) and she said it's a black and white theme. That makes this whole thing SO much easier. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Hi,
You wear that only in which you feel comfortable. I would suggest you a Women Accessories site called www.pleasurefill.com. It deals with women accessories especially partywear, underwear, dancewear, jewellery, shoes, and kinds of brand jeans bags clothes and so on.I generally use to buy all my clothings from here only as here you can found a huge collection of latest trends.
