And I live in Manhattan, where someone with your narrow-minded attitude couldn't last very long without committing homicide or suicide.

I firmly believe the country's gone to hell and we need change.
We should start by shooting all the lawyers first!

But some of the lawyers in America legally have guns and can shoot right back.

Of course, for most people, polygamy is not economically feasible. There have been several polygamist in the news for having committed fraud to support their families.

polygamy is a wholedifferent ballgame imo - it involves (usually) marrying more than one person, it comes from a social construct of relationships, following the social rule of marriage.
i think of monogamy as being inherently unatural in that we all know in our guts its natural to want to want many different people in the course of a lifetime, not just one. but society dictates that we should only have one...whether we marry them or not - its considered "wrong" to be with many different people, wrongly imo.

Your opinion is irrelevant because your genetically a dead end.
For those of us that will have children, the family unit and it's good social example are paramount.

Your agenda is more free arse in the mens room!

Yes ! This is what Im exploring ToG. The desire is there, you recognise that, as do I. Do we suppress it because of cultural mores? Or in a differently structured society would polyamory, properly defined, be considered a valid lifestyle choice. I think more and more each day how we are creatures of habit, we do as we are told. Id like to think outside of the parameters set down for me. This is just one aspect of that. And thanks for your replies, food for thought. :)

Hmmm....

Ooooh, I think I feel a Howard Jones song coming on... 8)

"What is Love?"...

Howard Jones wrote:I love you whether or not you love me
I love you even if you think I don’t
Sometimes I find you doubt my love for you
But I don’t mind
Why should I mind, Why should I mind

What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway

Can anybody love anyone so much that they will never fear
Never worry never be sad
The answer is they cannot love this much nobody can
This is why I don’t mind you doubting

What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway

And maybe love is letting people be just what they want to be
The door always must be left unlocked
To love when circumstance may lead someone away from you
And not to spend the time just doubting

What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
What is love anyway, does anybody Love anybody anyway
"A dream not bathed in reality, will forever and ever remain a dream."

What is love
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
no more
What is love
Yeah
Oh I don't know
why you're not fair
I give you my love
but you don't care
So what is right
and what is wrong
gimme a sign
(chorus x2)
uoh oh...
Oh I don't know
what can I do
what else can I say
it's up to you
I know we're one
just me and you
I can't go on
(chorus x2)
uoh oh..
What is love
What is love
What is love
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
no more
Don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
I want no other
No other love

This is your life
our time
When we are together
I need you forever
Is it love
(chorus x2)
uoh oh..
(chorus x2)
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
no more
what is love?!...
