I want a Ferrari but can't afford it either.

There's folks who can't afford a Punto or a Ka. Be glad of what you can afford and stop whinging.

The Mini is not all it's cracked up to be in my humble opinion.
My hubby and I looked at buying one a year ago (when fortune favoured us), and as soon as I got inside I fell out of love with it.
There was so little leg room in the front, and as for the rear, there is absolutely no point in having rear seats as there is no leg room at all.
And it's true, many people can't afford even the most basic old banger. It's better to have a car you can afford than to get into unnecessary debt for a Mini. Who knows maybe in the future you will be able to buy one.
For now, happy motoring in whatever you buy.
