My mum took me to the doctors last thursday for a pregnancy test as I told her I could be pregnant as I missed my period, it came back positive and now I dont know what to do.
My mum said she would support me whatever my decision but is kinda pushing me towards having an abortion.
Im booked in tomorrow to have a scan to see how far gone I am then I will have to go back in 7 days to have the 1st tablet for a termination, I dont know if this is what I want though.
My boyfriend said he would rather me have an abortion but its my decision and would stick by me no matter what.

I really dont think I want to have an abortion but I dont know how to tell my mum this.
I just want some advice as I really dont know who to talk to right now ..!

I wish you nothing but the ebst . I know it's hard but abortion or putting the baby up for adoption is the best choice . At 16 no one is ready to be a mother .And you have your whole life ahead of you .

Best of luck .

well i dis agree, i think if u want to keep the baby then u should. u shouldn just get rid cuz its the easy thing, u made the baby u should take responsibility! i think u need to think about it more because by u sayin ur not sure its wat u want(to get rid) its obviously not wat u want. if u get help im sure ull make a great mom 16 or older.

Life is hard with a baby...but not unbearable. Abortion has many consequences that people don't tell you about. Please, seek other advice before you decide to have an abortion. Their are many good families who would also be willing to adopt your baby. I'll be praying for you. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

quit lying. You would sell the kid out in a heartbeat if given the chance.

While I disagree with Lena's advice, at least the part about abortion, I fully disagree with your assessment. I don't think she is looking to sell anyone out.

i am 17 years old and am 10 weeks pregnant for the first 8 weeks i had horrible doubts, i was in two minds of what to do. I personally know people who have had abortions and regreted it. My mum is being supportive but tried to push me in to termination and my dad is not speaking to me, however my boyfriends family are being really good and he has recently propsed to me. I was thinking that my life is now over - no money, no social life etc. But the more i have spoke to people who have gone through with pregnanceys at a young age and are now alot older i have grew confident that it's not the end of the world. There are home education courses you can do and colleges for teen mums. I really didn't want an abortion and i am so glad now that i didn't. Me and my boyfriend have recently been babysitting his three year olds twins and have loved every minute - even the feeding, nappy changing, being sick Babies are wonderful things and remember you have created a fetus soon to be a human being, i am not saying it's easy because when i have babysat getting up in the night kills me but i love being responsible and if you are willing to put the work in and make some sacrifices you will be fine! However if you feel it is too much for you to take on and aren't willing to devote all of your time to the child the best thing to do is terminate - there are really good councilling groups around, and your mum has said she will support you.

i know the longer you leave the decision the harder it will be to terminate but you can't make any decissions this soon after finding out your body is still in shock if you aren't far gone i'd try and wait and speak to as many preofesionals, friends, etc as you can.
