Given that I am not a model and the shorts are untrendy - why should I feel awkward about going out publically wearing tights (I'd be wearing shoes of course

Possibly the worlds longest unpunctuated and useless sentence rolled into one...
The reason you possibly don't know many men that wear tights, high heels etc, is because they are afraid to admit it. Would you ask a woman to get a sex change if she prefers to wear mens shirts and jeans and 'boy pants'? No, well why are you asking men to spend thousands on a gender rebuild for the sake of a handful of clothes! We are supposed to be in an equal society. The hell we are.
Women screamed for years for equality, then scream again when it's carried out. It makes me ashamed sometimes to be a female.
I don't mind my boyfriend trying my stuff for a laugh, and I certainly don't question his sexuality when he is doing an impression of trying to nail my pussy to the mattress during lovemaking.
.... ( ITS JUST WRONG FOR MEN TO WEAR WOMENS CLOTHING)

I think the point of this thread is should men have more choice in what they wear, still look like male, while not trying to impersonate being a female with false boobs, fake high voices etc..
When women go out wearing trousers, they dont also put on false beards, deep voices & shove a banana down the front of their trousers to make out they are well hung......do they?

the 21st century is obviously stressing you out
I'd keep an eye on your boyfriend.... the butch 'manly men' have been shown to be worst ones for secret cross-dressing. They tend to take it to extremes too. If you want to be sure, then check out:
the loft
the shed
the garage
the boot of his car where the spare wheel should be....
