Given that I am not a model and the shorts are untrendy - why should I feel awkward about going out publically wearing tights (I'd be wearing shoes of course )

The reason you possibly don't know many men that wear tights, high heels etc, is because they are afraid to admit it. Would you ask a woman to get a sex change if she prefers to wear mens shirts and jeans and 'boy pants'? No, well why are you asking men to spend thousands on a gender rebuild for the sake of a handful of clothes! We are supposed to be in an equal society. The hell we are.

Women screamed for years for equality, then scream again when it's carried out. It makes me ashamed sometimes to be a female.

I don't mind my boyfriend trying my stuff for a laugh, and I certainly don't question his sexuality when he is doing an impression of trying to nail my pussy to the mattress during lovemaking.

its just wrong simplay as that i dont wnat to see clothes i wear on men and it not in our culture that is what makes us different from asia and india, if u read book bout killers most of them wear womens clothes it just not normal. if men were ment to wear womens clothes they would have since the begining. There are no such thing as womens clothes or mens clothes there are however clothes that are, and have been, traditionally worn by women or men. That said it does not mean that it should always be so. Using your argument - is it wrong for women to wear trousers which have been traditionally worn by men?

I don't want to repeat what I have said in earlier posts in this thread but men and women should have the right to wear what they like. Clothes do not necessarily affect or demonstrate an individuals sexuality.

You seem to have a very narrow minded viewpoint. It is viewpoints like that that suppress the male freedom to wear what they like whilst women can do just that. Have you worn socks, trousers, shirts - traditionally mens wear!!!!!!

lol this made me laugh, no trust me my man dont wear womens clothing, it is stressing me out dont get me wrong io have gay friends and one of my best friends had a sex change but befor that he would wear womens clothes but only behind closed doors and i had no problem with that but my point is it i would hate it if a guy was wearing something that i had.. i am very old fashion im sorry if u's dont like that but i got my point of veiw and u's have ur's i just wouldnt feel comfortble seeing just some guy walking in the streets wear a skirt. i feel very strongly about this

Obviously it is a missunderstanding here. My thread is about men wearing high heels and/or skirts, tights, etc. as men not about transvestites or crossdressers who whant to look like us. So the question remain: do you accept men wearing high heels as men?

I think we have all come to realise that YOU will never accept that men have the right to wear what they want and whilst there are women like you in the world that right will be suppressed. However the more enlightened amongst the fair sex, and there are loads, may just make a difference. I have spoken to several women and they do not have any hang ups at all - it is merely a question of getting used to the idea.

Actually is not the first time in our history when the men want to wear high heels and tights. In Middle Ages high heels and tights was parts of men fashion and the women simply love "men in tights". I suppose you can't.

Surely you mean cross-dressers.

A male wearing e.g. tights is not a cross dresser merely an individual wearing an item of clothing in which he is comfortable. A cross-dresser is an individual that dresses as a woman 'lock stock and barrel' - wigs and all and they also have rights to dress as they please without ridicule or contempt.

Despite your naive point of view there will come a time when what we have been discussing will be accepted (with some notable exceptions of course) as society becomes more tolerant of individuality - I may not benefit but I am convinced it will happen.

Things regarded as abnormal in the Victorian age (you know - your era) would seem radical to them now but are 'normal' to us - 'middle class' women in paid employment, women driving buses and trains, women wearing trousers - for example!!!
