I say I like you a lot........ That's how I say I love you.......

now.....there is no us Shame because it was special, and she said she only ever loved me and has never loved anyone or told them that she loved them in her entire adult life, not even the kids dad - and she is 30 years od age :-/ |

| i say i love you all the time, it has more meaning in different situations i think though. It is either a comment for example like a goodbye or somehting more meaningful and personal in other circumstances |

I have a rule that if my hubby and son can count the number of times I've told or shown them that I love them, then I haven't done it enough. It should be something they never doubt.
Just like Caroline said, you never know when it could be the last time and if they have to stop and think when that was, it's been too long. But if they always know, they'll never doubt it to be true. |

Every day. Just to give that little bit of reassurance and, I always want me and my home to be a 'safe place'.
Dunno if that makes sense, there is a lot of stress and tension in the world today. I feel it is important for my loved ones to know that once they step through my door and close it, all the troubles are left out there, and they can be at peace with me, safe to do whatever, even if it's to have a good old moan and objectively work through those troubles. |

| I know it. I dont need to hear the words regularly - its makes it all the more special when they're said. |

| Same here, my bf (of 9 months today!) told me in the summer that he had fallen in love with me, which was so lovely and i said it back, but he hasn't said it since. This doesn't bother me that much because i know he's the kind of guy who has trouble vocalising his feelings, he had enough trouble saying it that once, so i know that he thinks that he's said it once and i know how he feels so he doesn't need to keep saying it. We show it in our gestures, you know holding each other intimately and taking care of each other when we're ill etc. I guess it's just whatever works for you... |
