Hi, I have a semi light brown hair and I want to go to a bright, light blonde, kind of like Jessica Simpson has. I dyed my hair a few years ago with a blonde colouring and it turned orangey-red. (YIKES Smile ) so I want to know how to make it the blonde like I want it without getting that orangey color!!!! Also will doing this drastic of a color change really make my hair brittle and cause a lot of breakage? Thanks.

hi i did mine nearly as light as jessica simpson, if its your natural colour now then id recomend B blonde its a form of bleach using a 30 or 40 vol peroxide but dont put it on your scalp as it will burn and leave you with scabs it wont make your hair that brittlw but when your blonde wet your hair and soak it in conditioner put a plastic bag or a shower hat over your hair and use a hairdryer on it for about 15-20 mins and it will improve the conition also use hot oils they really help or if you are really worried then go to a hairdresser but it may be pricey good luck

My problem is I trieds to dye my hair blonde yesterday.
and it wasn't a high enough blonde to really work.
Sure, my hair is a little lighter but not much.
Would it be possible to go to the drug store and get a higher blonde
and dye it or do I have to wait?!

i have naturally DARK hair and about a month ago i dyed it black but it doesnt seem to have taken much and is now dark brown on top and darker brown/black underneath. i am wanting to go a barbie blonde /white blonde not a dark/chick blonde. i was just wondering after reading some of the posts if i should strip out whats left of the black before going to a salon or if i should just wait and see what they say at the salon. the thing is i dont want highlights or to go a medium blonde then light blonde as this would cost even more money. can any1 advise me on what to do. how much does it cost approx if the salon strip the colour out before they re-dye it.
thanks ciara

i have naturally dark blonde hair but i have dyed it often for a very long period of time.
now my hair is practically black with some red-brown highlights in the sun.
im getting tired of redying my hair every time my roots start growing in so i was hoping to go back to a dark blonde/light brown with some lighter blonde highlights, etc.
but i want it to look natural.
kindof like the actress natalie zea who is in a show called dirty sexy money which i ike, i was just wondering if it will be possible for my hair to turn out like this without too much damage.

and if so is bleaching or stripping the only option?

I normally have dark hair & I've been trying to dye it a dark blonde shade. I just can't seem to get it right. everything I use seems to be either too light or not light enough.

hey, because it is ur first time u should have no problems, so juist go for it but make sure the colour u choose is the one u really want. i have dyed my hair so many times an with in a month im sick of it.. i recommend a semi perment because im guessing u dont have greys and that is really wat it is used for.. good luck

Hey, long story short I've had 2 wee miracles, have stripped black out my hair successfully, and have dyed it a ridiculous amount of times in the last week and my hair is still n perfect condition.

I know the score about hair damage and so on, I am really just wanting some advice about the gingery orange hair I have right now. Whenever I dye even a strong blonde over it it just goes lighter orange. What do you suggest? Is it just time to give up and go to the hairdresser?

My natural colour is mid brown, and I have been light blonde before. I would like my hair as blonde as pssible.

Hi,
I bleached streaks into my hair a couple of days ago but it went wrong and kinda gingery so I covered it with a light brown hair dye.
It is now a kind of light brown/yellowy colour and i think in some lights greeny.. yuck
So have bought another dye 'garnier 100% intense dark golden brown but I'm wondering
a) do I have to leave it for 2 weeks ?
b) will it turn out ok!? or will the greeny/ yellowy-ness still be there?

Thanks!!
Emma
