i amabsolutely scared...my period is exactly a month late and i am wondering if this is normal. i usually have regular periods and dont skip periods whatsoever. i would like toknow if it is normal to have a late period without being pregnant?

Yes it happens. A late period can be caused by stress including not eating well, family problems, exercise, being "amabsolutely scared" etc etc. The single best way to help yourself is to get a home test kit and find out. Go ahead.. it won't bite you and you'll find out for sure rather than waking up terrified while waiting & hoping for a period cramp.

hey lookin for a little bit of advice, last month was late on my period, was only a week but i done a test in that week and it was negative. i came on and it was lighter than my normal one and only lasted for about 3days. a week later a started spotting abit just for a couple of days. am feeling really sluggish and am sleeping for 12 hours a night nearly every night! wondered if anyone can help this is all over the past 2 and 1/2 weeks should i wait and see if my normal period comes or should i get checked out?

a missed period is a big sign...others can be tender breasts, tiredness, more gas... there are a lot of sites that will tell you what the top signs are

my period was about 10 days late and i had a scare as well. you should just do a home pregnancy test to rest your mind a bit. if your period still doesnt come and your results are negative, you should go to the doctor or clinic for a blood test to check if you really are pregnant. it may be scary to think of it, but at least you will know whether you are pregnant or not. if a baby isnt something you plan to have, dealing with it earlier in the pregnancy may be easier than later. besides, maybe some other factors are keeping your period from coming, and perhaps the doctors can help you find out why. it might be better in the long run to have it checked out!

You can't have a proper periods although some people do have spotting - which can be mistook for a period. Any regular heavy bleeding should be taken seriously when pregnant.

My aunty had actual periods for the first six months of her 1st pregnancy, dont ask me how, but she did. it was as heavy as her normal periods, heavier than spotting definately.

I am due my peiod any day now but because of a bloated stomach decided to do a pregnancy test. Positive!! So I did another one to be on the safe side. A different brand of test. Positive too!!

What are the chances of mean actually being pregnant? Can you get two false positives?
