Suits

I'm about to buy a suit that I intend to wear for mainly for a wedding and other functions around the year. This is my first nice suit so I don't know whether to buy a 2 or 3 button suit. People say 3 button is more traditional and 2 is more in style. The main purpose is for this suit to impress in a job interview. Also, I was thinking navy with light pinstripes but theyre are so many different types of pinstripes for thin and close to wide and far apart. Any thoughts? Thanks.
