having trouble walking!

helloooooo ladies!

just a quickie..... i'm having trouble walking. i have an ache-ie pain in the muscles on the inside of my thighs and i'm starting to walk like a duck! this never happend with the girls so it's a new one for me. i went to see the m/w on monday and she said the baby is engadged and is ready to go, i'm guessing the problem is that the babies head is so low that it is causing this problem.

i'm just curious as to how long i can carry on this way?! my due date is next thursday, but i was two weeks over due last time, and i'm really hoping i won't be this way for another three weeks! what experience do other moms have? is this a sign baby could be here sooner rather than later, or is it just another pregnancy 'niggle' that i'll have to cope with till baby decides to make an appearnce and means nothing?

lol thanks ODN. no nothing seems to be happening, still here wand waiting.

it's not a pain as such, just quite a bad dull ache, and generally uncomfortable. it's making me walk like John wayne tho! not lady-like at all!! lol

other than that i'm happy and feeling very well. hope your doing good?

Ya ha!!! Wanted to check that you were OK! As fed up as you! Day 28 today, don't think I've ovulated (Day 21 bloods came back as a nope!), but aware that I could have ovulated this week, not sure when to start next cycle of Provera, have been off work sick with laryngitis (AGAIN!!!), lost my voice, on antibiotics, not sleeping because of the pain, dosed up on painkillers and hot water with honey and lemon, nothing helps, am tired...did I mention fed up? I don't blame your babbie for not coming out!!!

But apart fom that...feeling great!

Will you try to let us know as soon as anything happens? Will keep checking! I really hope everything goes smoothly (also painlessly and quickly! ) xxx

oh dear, poor you!! you really are in the wars.

only thing to do with the baby making is keep going i guess, not much fun at the moment tho i dare say lol. hope you feel a bit cheerier soon.

still nothing to report, 39 weeks and 2 days i think, but i can't go into labour this weekend as the heater on my birth pool has broken!! hubby called the company we hired it from and they're sending us a brand new one, but it won't be here until monday or tuesday. having said that i'm not feeling anymore like i'm closer to labour than i have been all week, so it should be fine. plenty niggles and thingsbut from experince, those can go on for weeks!!!

i'm just really curious now as to whether bump is a boy or a girl. it's quite funny hearing people tell me that as i'm carrying all in front (have very neat round football shaped bump, and haven't put any weight on anywhere else) that it means i'm having a girl. then different people telling me that the same thing means i'm having a boy. or people saying after two girls, it would have to be another girl, and then others saying, that it means it's defo a boy lol. my mom keeps caling baby 'him', tho two of my best friends call bump 'her'. and in all honesty i don't have a clue! i knew my first was a girl, as clearly as i knew anything, and towards the end i knew my youngest was a girl, altho everyone else said she would be a boy. just as long as it's not the elephant i dreamt i gave birth to the other night, i reckon i'm onto a winner!!

Hi JL...it will be the best surprise in the world! So you already have two girls? Is your hubby feeling outnumbered? I am the eldest of three girls, my mum obviously lived with us, and Dad used to say "even the cat's bloody female". He used to go and potter in the shed for hours just to get some peace!

He blames us all for his hairloss, and used to call us all "ALLMOANal", or he said "I blame it on your all-moans"! Such a Dad gag! He's the only one who laugh at them!

You'll have to keep your legs crossed for another couple of days! DO the birthing pool people think that people do not give birth at the weekend? xxx

luckily one of our two cats is male, he scoops murphey up and says it just you and me mate! lol poor souls. he does feel a bit out numbered at times, but he really likes being the dad of girls. i think he likes the feeling of being their provider and protector and all that, and the eldest was such a daddy's girl. as mom i get the cuddles, and the upsets, and they come to me for comfort, but hubby gets all the fun and giggles out of them, he's defo the best one for fun and games, i try, but apparently i just don't cut the mustard!

i've asked him if he would like a boy this time, but he says he's really not bothered. he'd like a boy so that they can do 'boy stuff' together (which i think means messing about with cars and watching the racing) but he'd be just as happy with another girl, altho he says that his weekends from now until eternity would be spent shopping, and he'd always be skint cos he can't say no to us girls! he has mentioned a bigger shed tho..... and maybe an old armchair.......

it does look like baby will have to stay where it is for a few days, my mom had a conversation with my belly yesterday telling baby to stay put. she had the same conversation with my youngest (i think so that she would be born under a certain star sign... moms.... ) and as i said after 14 days she still hadn't arrived and i had to be induced! so heaven knows when this one will turn up now!

Wish you the best for a healthy birth JL! I carried all my boys out front like a big basketball with very little weight gained anywhere else other than my stomach and my daughter more inside me with a more generalised weight gain all over. It's unusual nowadays not to know ahead of time what you're having, but it's also makes the whole birth a bit more exciting! Take care of yourself!

Just to say I had exactly that when carrying Pooey, I remember walking to the shops and my legs giving way...I really thought 'this is it' but it wasn't. Two weeks later tho and out he came!

Anyway good luck and I can't wait to hear your birth annoucement

hmmmm membrane sweep yesterday and full moon, but nothing happened.

it's my due date today and so far nothing. was in a car accident this morning with my friend (5 months pregnant) chap went into the back of her car. we're both ok apart from sore heads and necks, but it was a bit of a shock..... and still no labour! i don't think this baby is going to come out anytime soon! so i guess the countdown begins now. after 12 days, when they would normally induce, i've got them to agree to monitor me instead, altho the consultant said they would only do that for a maximum of 7 days then they would want to induce. i really, really don't want another induced labour so i'm hoping the baby will come soon now.....
