Desperate for a pee

Last week I was 'caught short' on a 3 hour coach journey. Needed a pee from about 10 mins in - don't think i've ever come so close to wetting myself since I was a kid! Was actually really embarrassing situation - made me realise that there is nothing us girls can do if we are desperate and there is no loo.

Has anyone shared my misery recently? What did you end up doing? (I actually couldn't make it to a toilet and ended up squatting(!!) between two parked coaches at a coach station)

Tell me i'm not the only one - and, it is harder for girls isn't it

Annabel you were lucky to be able to find somewhere fairly hidden to squat. Sometimes I prefer to pee discreetly in my knickers rather than to squat in view of everyone. Obviously on the coach journey that could have been a little awkward and it also depends what you were wearing at the time.

Yes it is harder for girls to squat than for guys to pull it out through their trousers. However, it shouldn't be any more embarrasing or frowned upon. When you gotta go - you gotta go - whether you are a man or a woman.

That is one advantage of wearing a skirt instead of trousers - you don't have as much to pull down and you don't expose as much.

Wish i had been wearing a skirt! Was wearing jeans - hard to squat in. Although it did mean that I could 'hold on' through the pocket - harder to do in a skirt. If i had had a bottle i would have used it.

Anyone got any stories of recent desperation?

I'm not quiet sure why I am posting this reply because it's actually rather embarrassing to confess that it has happened to me accidentally on occasion. Mostly it happens when someone gives me a fright or makes me laugh too much but also of a couple of rare occassions when I had drunk too much and was just too far away from a loo with nowhere to squat.

When it has I will admit that I felt a confusing conflict of emotions because on the one hand the loss of control felt like I was back to being a child again (hey - it could be fun to be young again) but on the other I felt deeply ashamed and embarrassed at what had happened and generally I have ended up in tears as a result.

So I really don't think I would ever willingly choose to do that! That would seem a bit weired to me... Sadly one of the slight problems of female plumbing is that we do seem to be a bit more prone to leaks than the chaps do so these things do happen to us occasionally I guess. Hence the excellent discrete little liner pads from Tena.

You need to do your pelvic floor excercises! hehe. Try doing the action you do when triying not to pass urine, then try it as if you were trying not to pass wind. Five times three times a day youll see a difference in weeks. Kxxx

If you had used a bottle without pulling down your jeans, you would probably have missed the bottle with some of the pee and wet your pants.

I've peed a few times at the end of the garden just lifted my skirt held my thongs to one side and squatted I have to say at the time i was very aroused and kind of just wanted to do it, felt very daring and naughty. Lucky we have a very discreet garden. Hubby still wonders why there is a brown patch on his lawn lol

I know what you mean about wanting to do it. I've peed in the woods near my mum's house quite a few times. It just feels so naughty and it makes me really aroused after

Hi there, my need to pee came at a difficult time as I was in a sailing boat at the time and we were in a race as well. As men take their sailing and winning there was only one thing for it. Commonly called "bucket and chuck it" I was allowed one we had gone about. I was a little embarrassed but it was a long time ago and I never got into a sailing boat again.

It should have been embarrasing for the guys having to expose their penises in front of you to pee in the bucket. All you had to do was pull the crotch of your swim suit aside, exposing nothing for them to see.

I did share your misery recently! I was coming home on the tube after a night out and realised I should have had a pee before I left...there were delays so the journey was much longer than expected. I was really struggling and kept thinking I should pop off the train and find somewhere to go. Then I had to walk to my car and drive a couple of miles home - I really thought I wouldn't make it. I even had to go easy on the pedals in case I set things going. What relief when I got there though!
Why can't there be some more loos on the underground?
