|
|
I wanted to post about this yesterday but forgot. I am 5'11 in stockings feet but I still love to wear heels out...skinny heels especially. At church on sunday an older lady came up to me and told me that as a tall woman I should stop wearing heels because it was unnatural for me to look that tall. I was standing 6'3 at the time but so what...fashion models do it all the time. The guys I have dated in the past don't seem to mind...even if I am taller than them. Just wanted to hear from other tall girls who love heels and to vent.

Heels always make a woman look hot, no matter how tall she is...
Flats would take away from a classy dress or skirt & blouse combo.
I say keep wearin' 'em! |

| I find that if I don't wear heels at least part of the time, my calves lose a lot of their shape. Not that I'm particularly tall, but I've seen tall girls who won't wear heels have terribly shaped legs. |

| The heels make a girl's legs shapely because they constrict the calf muscles. |

Yeah, I have to agree with previous writers- keep wearing your high heels! I'm more than sure that this old lady was just jealous |

What?! I stumbled across this thread while searching for something else. If some old gossipy busybody said that to me, I'd likely tell her "What are you, the fashion police? Go mind your own business!!" People sure are expert on how to live our lives, aren't they... Whenever I hear the words "should" or "ought to" from someone, my mind goes on red-flag alert. AA'ers tell each other "don't 'should' on yourself"; I don't let other people 'should' all over me, either. Me, I know that there are consequences to everything we do or don't do; otherwise, I have no idea what anyone "should" do. ...or, since it was in church, maybe a few quotes from what Jesus had to say about casting judgment on people (he was really rough about it) might've had a salutary effect. |

| The higher the heels the more fun it is to dance with them. No heels are too high. |

|

Hey,
I'm Ana, and I have a question. I am 6ft2 3/4 tall and usually I wear stiletto boots all the time. I even wear them to go to college. Sometimes boys make a remark that they make me look like a giantess because they make me like 6ft6. But apart from the low doors and that it's not easy to find such boots in size 44eur, they give me a good and free feeling, so I keep on wearing them.
Who else thinks I should keep wearing them??? Or who thinks I shouldn't???
Greetzzzz

| I probably wear flat as often as heels but have to say that heels look better with most outfits. I'm 5'10" and my highest are about a 4" at most. I do sometimes feel self conscious but what the heck, wear them. I do,. |

Thanks Amy,
Still I have another problem, being tall means also having large feet
I wear a EUR 43-44, and it's hard to find some nice (stiletto) boots. Most of my boots come from one shop or the internet. If there is anyone here who knows a good site where I can buy boots up to that size???
I don't mean the sites with the fetish boots, or the sites who only give flats in these sizes.
Thanks
Love Ana |

| I love to see tall women with large feet wearing high heels. Not platforms though, that reminds me too much of transvestites. |

| Well, I'm just going to cast a quick vote along with everyone else. Wear what you like. It's nobody else's business. If you want to wear heels, wear heels. Personally, I think tall women are beautiful: elegant, statuesque, striking. I was at a workshop last week and there was a lovely woman there who was at least an inch taller than me (I'm 5'10") and I just couldn't take my eyes off her. She was gorgeous... and she wore heels! |
