Razz Hi everybody:

I'm planning to travel on my vacations in August. I would like to visit London and Paris.

Any pointers? Would it be cheaper to fly from NY-London (stay in London a few days) and then in London I can take the TGV to go to Paris?

It will be my first time going to Europe.

Yours comments, suggestions, advice are welcome.

Love

Paris is great Iam going in July for 5days its costing me £80 from Ireland, thats return as well. I am flying with Easyjet, its probably the cheapest airline we have here in the UK. If I was you, Id check if its cheaper to go straight to Paris or straight to London. You can travel from England by Boat, plane, euro tunnel. But I think flying would be the least hassle.

You can get the Eurostar train direct from London Waterloo station in central London which takes about 2 hours. If you drive and hire a car then you can get the train from the coast where info is at http://www.eurotunnel.com.

You can fly from London to Paris which also takes roughly 2 hours. It's best to fly from Heathrow airport as you can get the London Undergroud direct into the Heathrow terminals direct from Central London without changing trains http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tube/

Good stuff to do in London, depending on length of visit or what your interested in but I will give a few links to some places that I like to visit anyway just in case they're useful to you Smile

Things like Buckingham Palace are cool for visitors too or Windsor Castle which is about 40 minutes from London.

Oxford Street and Covent Garden areas are good for shopping Smile

From London you can get the Eurostar from Waterloo station.
It costs about 70 pounds return and it takes you into the middle of Paris, stopping at the Gare de nord station,it takes about 2.5 hours.
I am going this weekend to see Springsteen.
My return train ticket and two nights hotel is costing me 98 pounds.
