I buy a truck/SUV as I am just not built for cars. My head is bent in them and my back is aching after the first pothole. So a truck is a necessity for me. I'm no pro athlete that can afford to have a car built to exacting specifications to accomodate my height. You have a car, and it gets you where you need to go. My truck may be fancy, but thats all it really is to me. It is momoents like when a car driver gets stuck in the snow after bitching about trucks in the summer that I get a laugh. They still abd mouth trucks though....while they're sitting waiting for a wrecker cursing their car for candy-ass...

Yah I know. But still.

Lol the RX-7 will be a fun lil toy. But i figure the way I am going im gonna need to save untill graduation to get it.

that car in a 2-door coupe with a 12 cyclinder engine is a classic which i believe jaguar stopped making in 1976.....a friend owns and let me drive a 1976 XJ12C that looked exactly like yours but colour was hunter green with tan leather interior....i had that car up to 135 mph on an empty 4 lane highway in the middle of the night, and the car was smooth as silk at 135.....downside of Jags of that generation is constant reliability problems, especially with the electrical system, which cost dearly to repair and maintain......for example, the car has two gas tanks and an electrical switch inide the car to change from one gas tank to the other, which would break down often so my friend would run out of gas on the road whilst atill having a half tank (one of the two tanks being full) that he couldn't access...still great car though....

The RX7 is a nice car, but it enver really picked up here in the states. The more popular model of the RX7 was mainly the 93+ twin turbo versions, but even so, you barely see them around here.

Trust me, having a high end car isn't all its hyped up to be. There are moments where having a car like mine gets annoying, specially when you are in rush hour traffic in a 6-speed manual that pushing over 600hp. Sure it gets attention and its very fun to drive, but it does get played out after about a month. Also, think of it this way as well, you're insurance will be litteraly less then a third as much as mine. It goes through gas like crazy, insurance is high, and tires cost a ridiculous amount (seeing as they have to rated for over 200mph). It really makes me want to buy something else or sell it when you really start thinking about it. Maybe I'll downgrade to a Lancer Evolution.

Well i don't want a top of the line car per se. And i mean your corvette, is just a tank. Puts out close to triple the rx's hp, a much much higher top speed, god know's how much torque.

The lancer is always a nice car though.

Its un-practicle though. A super high speed doesn't do jack with dailing driving, and the high torque is similar in that matter. The higher torque does make it fairly easy to merge into traffic though or pass someone, lol

The Lancer I'm looking at is a base Evolution. 289hp, single turbo, etc. With the amount I'd have after selling the Z06, I could put a couple thousand into the Evo and have it at easily 400, but it'd still have better traction then the Vette and more comfortable too. I don't know, we'll see :D

Well if you think about it. It's all unpractable. What's the point of a car having over 180hp?

Well, it is useful to have some ZING to your car, lol. Merging into traffic, expressways, passing someone, etc. The higher the power, the better you can do it. There is a degree of having decent power, and overkill.
