Do men hate it when women are agressively pursuing them. Not in any blatant way but playful and seductive, helpful and giving, I have done everything but ask this guy out and he acts as if i were his aunt. or if the guy guy dosen't respond is he just not into you.

There's nothing wrong with aggressive females, sometimes though we are rather slow on the uptake. Give us less subtle hints, we can sometimes confuse the described approach as just wanting to be friends, plus if we do spot the signs we have the fear of rejection if we make a move so back away.
He may be feeling a little shy, if so, without making him think you're getting into dateville just ask if he'll go to an exhibition say one Saturday morning so he can feel comfortable being with just you in close company.
I'm not too good at reading signs myself and have missed more than a few subtle signals in my time, it's only been later that a female friend has actually pointed out the signals that I realised.

okay did that make *ANY* sense to anybody? or maybe he'll think she's a gay man in a woman's body... or something.

let's see here,

a woman explicitly expresses her interest for a man,

so the man thinks to himself, "hmm, since she has expressed interest in me, a man, she must logically be a lesbian!"

yeah, you're right. I'm not quite sure how that logic works.

that or you just told a crappy joke.

And once again NYC Guest sees why asking men for advice is pointless, the conversation rapidly moves towards the gutter. Next time you ought to ask Just For *Grown Up* Men to respond!!!
