Hello, I am making myself really nervous and am hoping for some advice please. I'm nearly 12 weeks pregnant and have my first scan in 2 weeks time. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and this is my second attempt.

My stomach had started growing, some days I would have a big bump now my stomach is flat as anything and I dont feel as bad as I have done for past few weeks, I feel like i did before I got pregnant and am now scared that the baby has stopped growing.

Is it normal to get a big bump then for it to just go just like that? I have noone to ask and find my Midwife very unhelpful and impossible to reach - I dont want to be acting like a hyponcondriact but having already lost one and now feeling like my pregnancy symptoms are diminishing I am very, very afraid and would love any advice anyone can offer!

Many Thanks in advance x

hello,
try not to worry yourself so much.
I was in the same situation and I had a miscariage a long time ago so when I was near my first scan.. I though id lost all my symptoms and the baby had gone!..

This actually wasnt the case. It may be your mind playing games with you. You dont 'always' feel pregnant to be honest and at nearly 12 weeks you may be loosing some symptoms anyway (first 3 months are said to always be the hardest)

Things will get much easier once you've had your first scan... and trust me it will be the most amazing experience of your life.

You have to remember, if theres anything thats gone wrong.. there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. I know its awful worrying but try not to until you know for sure.

Im sure everything is just fine. You wait until you see your baby for the first time.. you must keep me posted.
Im pregnant with my first and now at 23 weeks. It gets better and better.

I do hope everythings okay but im sure it is, unless youve been having servere pains, bleeding...
if your just concerned about symptoms... dont be.
You'll find this the whole way through the pregnancy. Like I say.. im at 23 weeks now and unless he moves, bless him, I dont feel pregnant myself!..

best of luck sweetheart.
Pls keep in touch

xx

try not to worry yourself.if anything was wrong, surely you'd be in some kind of pain,or bleeding?if your very concerned,go to your doc,and just explain your fears.i understand you're worried because of last time, but stress can make you ill when your pregnant,so try and stay calm.

oh dear, try and calm down. i've lost two myself and i know it can be a very worrying time, but there is nothing to say it will happen again.

if your syptoms are fading t may just mean your a little further along than you thought, and it's just the natural slowing down of early syptoms, as happens after twelve weeks.

as for the 'bump' it was most likely water retention, common in early pregnancy, which is fading, hence your flatter tummy. it wouldn't have been a baby bump before twelve weeks as your uterus is still below your pubic bone, so won't show. at twelve weeks it has grown too large to stay there and you may feel it above your pubic bone, and this is when you might start to thicken at the waist.

p.s f you don't get along with your midwife, ask to change, or change dr's so that you can change midwives. it does help to have someone you feel you can talk to.

im pregnant with my 3 child n i am still as worried as i was wen i was 1st ever pregnant with my eldest. it is a worryin time for any1. i cannot comment on miscarriage fortunately i never have lost 1. ii u have any concerns ring ur community midwife team, thats wat i have dun in the past. or ur local antenatel clinic at the hospital. they r always there to help. u will find that sum midwifes don't give a damn and its just a job to them but the majority do care!! if u ay happy with ur midwife ask for a anuva!
