Hi there!
I went to Cuba with my then boyf (now hubby) in 2001 and stayed in Cayo Coco. It was great!!! To get to Cayo Coco (a small island) you have to drive down a long causeway and the sea looks pink due to the number of flamincos!!! We actually stayed at the all inclusive Sol Club Cayo Coco and I would recommend it. There is a wide variety of food - for breakfast you could choose from fruit, american breakfast, pastries, everyting including omletts made to your request wuth tomatoes, cheese, bacon, etc.
The rooms were clean and well equipped and the complex and beach were fab.
We took a day trip to Havana (by plane) which I would also highly recommend.
