Having troubles with the Net in that way, it's likely that your browser's cookies and cache are so full that the browser can't function properly...

Go to preferences, and delete your cookies and cache... And if you are running an after-market browser, it's time to download a fresh one, and uninstall the old one...

I'm betting you're not using a systems and registry cleaner... Get "EasyCleaner", "Cacheman Memory Restore", and "PowerDefrag"... and run them all... Then tell us how good your PC is working...

"Window Washer" is another good one...

Careful with any other cleaners.. Some cleaners can take out system's components faster than you can blink...

VERY IMPORTANT!.. Always make a fresh Registry-Backup before running cleaners... In using the PC, it is crucial that your learn how to make a clean registry backup, and how to apply a registry backup to replace a damaged registry... I can't stress this enough... This is your responsibility as a PC user... You are your best security...

I'm not sure that clearing the cache at our ends will work, as my personal experience indicates:

If you don't log out via the tiny button on the chat room screen, then, not only will you not be able to log back in until it times out, but you'll continue to show up as being in the chat room too. This can be a problem, as I have found out, because someone may try talking to you, but you'll appear to be ignoring them. I had that problem before I found out about that tiny log out button, and it was a couple of hours after I had turned off my computer.

Related to this is a lot of browsers have the security settings set very high which means they can't use the chat room either because it's in Flash format.
Unfortunately a lot of people have this problem due to relying on public access computers from places such as libraries.
They can often log into live chat and, to everyone else, they appear to be there, but that's due to the login being done at forum end, rather than the chat room.

Clearing the cache and cookies would not help.

The server maintains the userlist like workers clocking in & out of a factory using paper timecards. You clock in and take your timecard to the other side of the gate.

If you try to clock in again from "outside" then because you are already clocked-in you cannot access your timecard to clock-out or clock-in.

If you reconnect from the same IP then you're ok as the server would consider this as "inside", if you can't then you're stuck. There should be an occaisional silent keep-alive from the client to let the server know the client is still there but that's not in place.
