HI NORMA, ITS THE OBVIOUS I KNOW BUT HAVE YOU RUN OUT OF INK? IF NOT, TRY RUNNING YOUR INK JET HEAD CLEANING PROGRAM AS THEY MAY BE BLOCKED.
IF UNDER WARRANTY GET IT CHECKED OVER.
IF YOU NEED A NEW PRINTER BUY EPSON, KEEP AWAY FROM LEXMARK, CHEAP TO BUY BUT TOO EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE THE INK. |

| Sometimes if a printer sits idle for months, the cartriges can dry up on the outside... Some photo edit forums recommend to run the cartrige head under warm water for a couple seconds, the gently wipe it clean... but usually if it's just red left, it's most likely empty.. because generally pix don't use up as much red as the other colors... Sounds like you've been printing a lot of pix... large Pix and solids will drain your inks super fast... It's a good plan to get an ink reloading kit... Careful though, there are two types of inks for cartriges... |

I opted for an HP 3 in 1, copier/printer/scanner for $80 Cdn... (about $50 US)..
The cartriges cost only $20 each.. I fill my own for free.. A neighbour gave me a box full of free toner refill kits...
I have no complaints on this sweet little HP printer unit...
The thing with buying toner cartriges.. is by the time you've purchased two sets of cartriges, you've paid for the printer again... It's a good plan to refill them on your own...
I block the auto updaters with my firewall, because sometimes they are an easy entry into a PC by a bully hacker... |

I discovered , the hard way, that it's always a good plan to totally eliminate all old printer software, before installing a new printer, if the new printer is a different make than the old one...
I do it by first uninstalling the old stuff...
Then search Find for those labels, and uninstal and delete them all...
Then run a regedit search and destroy for the name of the old printer, and it's company name too...
Then run EasyCleaner's registry cleaner...
Reboot.. and install the new printer's CD...
This will prevent the old stuff frm conflicting with the new stuff.. plus it makes for a cleaner faster running PC... |
