Woman hating woman!
I have met only two women in my lifetime that reluctantly, I would have to describe as misogynist.
Deliberately and consciously cruel towards other women, because they are women!
Misogynist women, have you met any in your travels? |

interesting topic and there was a comment I read somewhere in here that referred to a woman saying she "couldn't stand other women". That reminds me of women who automaticlly refer to teenage girls as "little bitches". I think that is misogyny and I hear it, sadly, from both lesbians and straight women, mothers and non-mothers.
Ok, so adolescence can be a difficult time and make both young men and young women difficult to be around for extended periods. But the automatic branding of young women as 'catty little bitches' or whatever really just demonstrates to young women that they can't rely on older women for support. I find it really, really sad. |

Is it real hatred though or just jealousy or are both the same to you ?
I've met jealous women and been jealous but i haven't met a woman who really hates women.Thankfully. |

I have known "boy's girls," who feel comfortable only in the company of men. And I have known (predictably fewer) "girl's girls," who only seek the company of women. I have found this does not necessarily bear on a woman's femininity, attractiveness, or sexual gender preference. It may be advisable to be a "girl's girl in a boy way" . . . or something like that.
I agree that the "usual suspects" in this case include jealousy and desire for male attention. |

straight women compete with each other and that's the way men like it. Straight women are encouraged to not love eachother (platonically) it keeps them in their place. I know this all sounds like Im a radical feminist, but Im just your regular kinda feminist.
my best mate is a straight white feminist... she feels that she doesnt fit into society so well... so i suggested she make some more lesbian friends cos lotsa gay girls are feminist too. |

Hmm..I don't know about 'because they are women' but I've certainly met plenty of lesbians, for example, who are quick to put down others who don't meet their pre-judged expectations of what a lesbian should be, for god's sake.
And I always wonder - who is the one with the problem...? |
