Interpretation of dreams: Need some help

Heres one that occurs quite a lot. I have a few ideas as to what it means but would like to know what everyone thinks. Please dont laugh either as they are scary too me!

I tend to call these dreams apocalypse dreams since seems like the end of world to me. In this dream everyone is running away and screaming like crazy. I can see myself running along a pavement and dodging strikes of lightening and fireballs from the sky. This dream is really quite frigtening and scary because it is so vivid. I can actually feel the heat across my face where I have just barely missed being struck. My mother also figures in this dream and I see her with her arms outstretched towards me for me to come to her. But I don't and continue to run. There is a feeling that however much I run it is no good and that sooner or later I will die. Usually when this feeling comes over me I tend to wake up.

Does anyone know what this dream could mean ?

Since you posted this on 10/12, and there was the accident in NYC on 10/11; perhaps you fear there is no safe place from the terrorists.

When there is danger in my dream, it is usually triggered by sudden loud noises in my environment.

Hmmmm.... I have had these dreams before 9/11. They come few and far between but there are always the same with the same images. The only thing I can make sense of is this dream most likely occur when I am worried about something. I say most likely not always. So that may not be the trigger. But if this is the case, how does that explain the presence of my mother in this dream. I often wondered what it all means but up untill now I have never wished to discover the dream's hidden meanings. I suppose up untill now I have had a mental block to unravelling it all.

sorry sp 10/11. But your right about my feeling theres no safe place from terrorism. Surely this is a common perception though nowadays. Can anyone else offer any interpretations please ?

You have problems and you feel like no matter what you will do, you will still end up in a bad situation. Your mother may have problems too, but you can't help her as you're preoccupied with your own problems. U are in a situation where you can't see no way out and therefore really stressed. U may be also afraid that you might not have any friend left or just that you will feel really lonely in the future.

To you it seems like the end of the world, cause maybe being lonely would mean the end of your world and the heat on your face means that you feel like you may be getting closer to such a moment.
