I bet Hamster got loads of flowers from many well-wishers - especially that HUGE bouquet from InjuryLawyers4U.

What a nice insensitive reply fitting of a moron with no name other than ''Guest'' Please god let guest's next trip be from the top of the stairs down to the bottom.

At the end of the day machines are machines and can go wrong or cause and accident know matter how skilled the operator - And that includes cars.

I think even those of us who just drive a few Kms to work and back each day often forget how vulnerable we are wrapped ina lumped of metal. It only takes a split second of lack of concentration or the foolishness of another driver, or as in this case a burst tyre to put us and others in hospital or indeed kill us.

Lets hope Richard makes a good recovery and that his family get him back home soon. And lets also hope he learns from it

AussieAdam, lighten-up.

I'm sure 'Guest's' comments were not meant to be 'insenstive'. If you didn't know already, Richard Hammond's nickname on Top Gear is 'Hamster' - and it's widely reported that he received flowers from many admirers.

In the UK we're bombarded on television with advertisements by companies specialising in seeking compensation for people injured in accidents that were not their fault. There is some ironic humour, therefore, in the sentiment that one such company might have sent such a large bouquet to Hamster.

Don't you just hate having to explain jokes to people!

Even so, AussieAdam expresses hypocracy in wishing ill on 'Guest' while feigning concern for Hamster.
