how do you know when you're dreaming?? I've always wondered how you can take control of your own dream.

You can train your mind to do it but this doesnt happen over night. You need to be concious that your a dreaming, tell yourself in your dream you are dreaming. Or think what you want and it will happen....takes practice though.

I learned how to do this when i was a young child, i used to have strong vivid dreams, and night terrors that would upset/scare me and cause me loss of sleep. Between the ages of about 4-6 i became aware, during my dream that i was only dreaming, and although this didnt put me at ease during my dream, i was able to take control of my self and force myself to wake up. This worked for me in some of my most terrifying nightmares. Although i cannot and do not do it anymore, perhaps because i am older and have an understanding of dreams... i don't know??? Still get the odd night terror though, where i wake up screaming Shocked Sad
