ANYONE BEEN TO DUBAI??TIPS ON THINGS TO DO?

I am off to Dubai in September, cant wait. We are staying at the Al Qsar hotel, anyone stayed there? What you think? The reviews are excellent so I can not wait!!! Most of the time I will just be reading my book in the sun+shopping in the malls, but can anyone give me some ideas of things to do when I want to explore or do something differnet.

I may go and visit the indoor ski centre, anyone been there? They supply ski clothing etc so you dont have to bring your ski clothes from home, its huge apparently with real snow-so that should be fun!!

Any help, tips or advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thank You

hey i live in dubai, so i can suggest a few things for u to do ther. ther are quite a few night clubs in bur dubai (downtown) and in many of the hotels, such as madinat wich has trilogy. if you want to go to a beach i suggest sunset beach wich is on the right of the burj al arab and jumeriah beach hotel, it is also possible to surf ther (altho the waves are nothng in comparison to oz). the ski dubai is a great place to ski/snowboard, and thers a water park called wild wadi. the best malls are mall of the emirates, and deira city center but all other malls are pretty amazing. for cheap gifts or fake dvds/clothing, go down to karama but remember to bargain.shisha is also a sociable thing to do

Thats fantastic you live there!! I can not wait to go!! Do you know much about the night life there? I like my funky house music so do you know any bars/clubs that play that type of music, I hate commercial, chart music being played in bars. Let me know.

Hope your still about, if so I'll get some bar names for you, I'll google them, then u can let me know if u know anything about them. That would be great!! Laughing

Ive been to Dubai twice and both times had really good fun. The Wild Wadi water park is great fun!
