I used to work for Max Factor in the UK, and the quality of the the chemicals that go into samples are significantly lower than the actual product. They really just want you to see the colour, not the compatibility to your skin of the product. Most of samples are made up of coloured powder and water. I buy my own make up at www.PerfumeStall.com, as its as cheap to buy the full bottle, than get your name on a mailing list by looking for freebies. They specialise in larger packs for the price of the smaller packs. e.g. 100ml is the price of 50ml in high street stores. Works for me.
