- Always have trial runs for your make up and hair style before the day for both you and your bridesmaids. Take your headpiece and show your hairdresser so they can incorporate it into your style without it looking like it has been plonked on as an afterthought. Do ask your bridesmaids not to radically cut their hair or change their style until after the wedding. Remember that things happen and you cannot control other people, just work with issues as they arise and enjoy your day. Also take some time out in another area away from others with your bridesmaids, between the wedding and reception (after the photos) where you can let it all hang out before you have to face the rest of the evening. That way you can recharge a little and not have your evening photos looking like you have a forced smile.

- If you want to save money, make your table centrepieces yourself. You can also make the bridesmaids hair clips. Make sure that the cake decorator takes the cake to the reception venue and sets it up themselves. That way it will always look perfect.

- What ever happens on your big day please do not panic and always keep smiling or else the camera will catch you, and you will regret it afterwards.

- Wear your shoes before the day because it will be a lond one and you don't want blisters. Sit in front of the TV and let your body heat do all the work!

- Try to schedule regular facials for yourself in the months before your big day. Your skin will be beautiful and appear glowing in all your photos!

- Save time and money on Invitations by buying all the pieces you need and get all your bridesmaids over to help pu them together. Save money and it's fun!
