Hi everyone, got a funny problem here!
I am gay, and have been living with my partner for seven months. She told me last night that she has been seeing a man for two weeks, and thinks she isnt gay anymore.
I am in two minds here - 1, I feel betrayed as you would when you discover your partner has been seeing someone else, but 2, How come she has changed her sexuality! She has been gay for many years, she is considerably older than me, and I have known her as a friend for almost 15 years. She lived with a woman for nearly 9 years and they even had a committment ceremony.
Have I put her off women? I am 38, and she is 55. I am just very confused. I am not really upset at the moment because I find it quite farcical, but no doubt it will hit me soon.
Please somneone tell me how this can be! |

| What an interesting problem. With the increase in gay relationships, women ( the lesbian relationships at any rate) are going to experience the madness that straight men experience - Women! |

Not a dig really Sharyn. An observation. Look, she's had FIFTY FIVE (55) to figure out what she wants. From my experience, this still isn't enough for most women!
As for feeling betrayed, Shakita, well yes, I can understand that. She has betrayed you. Gone behind your back, broken your trust. It sounds like she does have a committment problem. Previous partner, you, her own sexuality. Very selfish and careless of the feelings of others too. You'd have thought she'd have become an adult by now but some people never do. |

| To me Sakita this sounds like the relationship was coming to an end and she wanted a reason to finish it |
