Now we know where Sir Geoffrey got his from. They are fabulous, Glitterbabe. I wish we could see many many more girls earing such beautiful pettis.
You will be the girl of the month in those. Any chance of seeing how they look on you?
Aww thank you! I think if they knew they wonderful feeling they bring to you they would. I would like to see more major fashion brands include a more variety of clothing, including pettis. When you make clothing for the public there is no in or outs, there is only individual tastes. I wish there were more for us petti lovers.
I have always seen crinolines & chiffon pettis in films, but it was not until last year I hadn't had any idea how to find them. I had been intrigued by the idea of wearing them. A wonderful and dear friend showed me her beautiful petti, and from there I started hunting. I found my first crinoline in Charleston, NC, when visiting with some family, and then, over the next few months, found some on E-bay that I fell in love with. I loved them so much that I just wear them anywhere I go.
The feeling of being so totally feminine and, the way they move with you as you walk was incredible. I normally like to be more girly girl in my clothing, with wearing stockings and all, but I could not have felt more so if I tried once I was wearing the crinoline. I love the way the softness of my lingerie feels against my skin, the way the ruffles on my skirt move as I move. And the reactions of people around me was surprising. I had worn it to work and the amount of compliments had me on cloud nine all day long and the way they float around a person as they walk is lovely. Seems I have some retro shopping to do now and some sewing, since I intend to wear my pettis on a more regular basis, hehe.
Oh also I can't make digi pics at the moment because my camera is broke. Fooie

Glitterbabe, you've hit the spot! I have to get that fluffy one for my g/f. She will love me forever.
Aww I am sure she will love it!

I might just get one for me too
Totally I think wonderful feeling people get out of wearing them (man or women) is too precious to pass up!
Glitterbabe. I am partial to the sort of young woman who exaults in her femininity, and you have a refreshing charm about you.
Have you thought about bringing those crinolines to Tim* & Sal*s tree ( on the chit chat board) to show us all. Its the best spot on this site / board and welcomes really nice or unique people. I promise the branches are soft and won't snag your stockings.

Oh yay, am I officially invited to the tree? I'd love too. I will try and chat in there whenever I can. I have had experience in chatting in trees even in delicate dresses, hehe.

Oh my. I just love that petti. It is the most feminine item of clothing I have ever seen. I would love to put my hand, or head, up under that! And yet, so strange, I have never seen a girl wearing anything like it.
You are an exception, Glitterbabe. Girls are just too 'something' to be so feminine these days. Something that 'un-girls' them.

Aww that is very kind of you to say, thank you! I think if someone is very fem on the inside then that is something to be embraced and proud of. It is one of the most lovely and special things I have ever felt to embrace my feminity. No one should feel ashamed for expressing their individuality. I think it is many of the girls that would just love wearing very fem garnments, feeling peer pressure to follow what is in. I am so against the fashion police. Someone get the self expression police to stop them, hehe.
