I am also a 14 year old boy who likes to wear skirts but I don't know what you mean by freedom and comfort. When I wear a skirt I have to smooth my skirt every time I sit down and then be careful to keep my legs together so I don't show everything. When I am walking I have to remember to take short steps, especially when I am wearing heels.

I used to wear a skirt in secret when my family went out, not because I wanted to be a woman, I just liked the feeling. I never wore anything other than this long skirt, I never wore dresses, make-up, high-heels or anything eles for that matter. I'm not gay and I'm not a cross dresser. It ended suddenly when I tryed a skirt on in my late teens and it just felt wrong, I got nothing from it, took it off and never wore one again. I don't think there is anything wrong with trying it, just ask for pomission of the clothes owner before wearing it (I bought one from a charity shop). I guess it's just something to do with your hormones in your teenage years.

Oh and I know what you mean about the comfort and freedom thing ( I din't wear underwear when I wore the skirt) It was a long, baggy kinda skirt so i just sat sloppy like with my legs apart like the usual bloke would do, it was much more comfortable then wearing trousers that would restrict my legs and bits.

What is it with young men today? Why do you want to be a girl. You dress like them, act like them. You are a man, be proud of that! Nothing against women, but they aren't going around trying to be men. They are proud of who they are. Be a man. "Act sharp, look sharp, be sharp!" Kind of summed up a man, thanks to Wilkinson-Sword!

Wearing a skirt does not mean you are dressing as a girl.

It is possible to be manly but wear a skirt.

It is like saying to a woman that she must never wear pants - how outragous!!

If you are against wearing womens clothing so much how did you end up on this website?

Perhaps you are in denial that you too are a crossdresser?

So grow up and accept things - if you cant grow up then curl up and die and stop offending innocent people you f*****g retard!

I am proud that I have enough confidence in my own masculinity that I am not afraid to wear something just because someone has said it is for girls. I am proud that I do not have to prove my masculinity to myself every day like so many males who are afraid of doing anything even slightly feminine. I am proud that I can, "Act sharp, look sharp, be sharp" just as easily in a dress as I can in a suit.

Things have changed some, but not as much as you think. Yes, girls/women can now wear pants whenever they please but that hasn't been true for very long. And boys will still be ostracized for wearing skirts. When I was in school in the 70s, a girl who lived next door to us wanted to wear pants to school and the dress code wouldn't allow it. She would then put on jeans under her skirt and try to go to school that way. She was wearing the skirt afterall, so she wasn't breaking any rules. She got sent home.

I brought her homework home that afternoon and we were talking about what had happened. She thought then as you do now, that anyone can wear anything they like - and she didn't like wearing a skirt. I said it couldn't be that bad and a minute later, she handed it to me and dared me to wear it for an hour. Wouldn't you know but her mother came in, saw me in the skirt and we both lectured on proper attire for young ladies and men. She seemed rather smug sitting there in jeans while I still had on her skirt, trying to keep it down over my knees while the two of them were trying to hold back giggles.

Maybe things will change further. Women's pants are styled to fit women's bodies. Part of the reason skirts and dresses look silly on men is that they're not styled to fit us. We'll know things are turning when you see lines of skirts made for men (and I'm not talking about kilts).
