|
|
| I have 2 weddings coming up over the next month. I have found a black dress that I really like but some people have passed comment that you shouldn't really wear black to a wedding. I have also been told this about white. What are your views on this? |

| You can't wear white because it competes with the bride.Black might be in poor taste at some weddings especially if the people are very traditional, what the hell, you could pretend you are mourning something or someone. |

It's certainly traditional for only the bride to wear white, but I've never heard of a ban on black. Then again, I've never been that fond of tradition, so I'm not the best one to comment. If you're at all concerned about offending someone, then just choose another colour. Now that I think of it, the last time I went to a wedding my outfit was completely black... |

| I dont see any reason why not, i have worn black trousers and a sparkly white top to a weddingbefore, with a black and white hat, and nobody said anything, even if you wore an All black dress, maybe glam it up with a coloured scarf or turquoise or pink accesories. |

| I had a black pinstripe dress. Loved it in the shop but after I bought it I realised I couldn't think of the right occasion to wear it. In the end I found some pink shoes and a pink hat and wore it to a wedding. I got loads of compliments on my appearance that day. |

| I really dont see why not. If you feel uncomfortable maybe wear in with a coloured shawl or scarf or maybe coloured accessories like a clutch bag, shoes or necklace. |

| Men wear black suits and there's nothing wrong with that so why should it be double standards for women - men can wear black but not women? I dont understand that at all, wear what u want! |
