Calves and calfs too.
They were peacocks, they enjoyed dressing up. Who could be against that? |

of course guys can wear skirts. it makes more sense anatomically anyway. just because women have frilled them up and made them girly doesn't mean guys can't wear masculine skirts.
if women commandeered jeans and made them all frilly and lacy, and a guy said he now wanted to wear jeans, you'd have the same argument, like, what is the world coming to, when guys wanna wear jeans.
guys are already wearing skirts, in high schools, dances, biker clubs, all over the place. there are thousands of guys who wanna wear skirts because they're sick to death of having only one kind of clothes to wear. and being allowe a colourful tie or a green sock every other hallowe'en! yuck! |

Would love to experiment wearing a skirt.
Just think of the feeling you would get wearing nothing under it!
Would definately hang free! |

To answer the original question--Because men look STOOPID in them.
That said, was listening to Paul Harvey one morning (1/25/06), and he mentioned some school district, I don't remember where, but it may have been in Pittsburg, or some other place in Pennsylvania, anyway, the gist was that shorts have been and will continue to be banned as appropriate school attire for male high school students, but, due to ACLU involvement, a "compromise" was reached in which the male high schoolers WILL be permitted to wear SKIRTS. If I were back in high school, I would seriously consider showing up in one--at least once, complete with shaved legs and pantyhose--and boots of course (nothing worse than hairy bare legs in a skirt, or kilt, for that matter, IMHO), just for the shock value. |

Azraelle there are plenty of women who look stupid in the clothing they wear but does it stop them - no way. They are conditioned to believe that what they wear is ok and thats ok by me.
You only think men look stoopid because you are conditioned to think that only women can wear skirts.
I agree that men will look strange in them initially but different styles will evolve for men.
Once other men realise that skirt wearing men are just like them only braver, they will want to wear them as well.
You must realise that some men are looking for alternative clothing to trousers and in these days of increasing equality, it is only right that in this case men get the benefit from it.
It should be obvious to anyone who gives a little thought to mens fashion that for men to expand their clothing styles then they will have to encroach on clothing that women wear because women wear every kind of clothing that there is.
Surely it is not too much for our enlightened society to allow this to happen
and I am sure you will want to see all those skinny white legs turn into skinny brown legs after the sun gets to them.
Best Regards

Visited the website above. They have some nice lookings skirts for men. I like the denim skirt. They also have a picture are of customers wearing their skirts.
I really like the looks of these skirts and will probably order one and give it a try! Don't have to worry about shaving my legs, since I already do that anyway (don't have much hair on them, so it looks better to shave them).
Can't wait to try one on. Will have to wear it like the Scot's do, FREE BALL IT! |

| yes - men CAN wear skirts! they just have to be suitable - if you go out in a pink mini your going to get laughed at.....pick something suitable and your be fine. the number of men wearing skirts here is increasing.....i see a couple a week and most of them look good! go do it.....set the trend in your area! it will soon catch on. a lot of blokes in my experience wear skirts - just not out in public. once these guys see you and others out they will soon follow suit! |

| It's not been PC since the English banned the kilt after Culloden in 1746. |
Some Highland regiments wore kilts towards the end of the 18 century, throughout the 19 century and into the 20 century, in addition to pipers, who wore saffron kilts, in some Irish Regiments. Also at such places as the Highland Games, one may see kilts, but the kilt was probably out of fashion in the Lowland areas well before 'The 45', which did indeed occasion the banning of Highland dress by the British government. |
