Posted: Tue Dec 13, 2005 7:14 am Post subject: The secrets of the Moon, and other planets.
I am knew to this board, and I do not wish to over indulge my welcome, but I just wanted to share a few interesting theories about compatability, and relationship insights via Astrology.
Much has been made about compatability between Sun signs, but I have found that success in relationships often is based on other components.
The Sun represents "the self", and your Sun sign gives a basic 'canvas' that is coloured by other nuances regarding facets of who you are. In love relationships it is mostly the Moon, and Venus which provide the greatest insight into your needs, and love nature.
The Moon for both sexes, represents your 'deepest needs', and what you are comfortable with. It often takes a back seat in the dating arena since we are often motivated by our love interests (Venus), and sexual attraction (Mars) but it often gives a greater clue as to what type of partner will suit you long term.
The planets in Venus (for men) are a good indicator as to what type of woman he is attracted to (generally speaking). If a man has a Venus in Aries, he is attracted to 'strong', active, and 'fiesty' women. No doormats for him.
If it is in Libra, he is drawn to 'feminine' women who dress well, and are well mannered, and attractive. Venus Scorpio prefers women of mystery that ooze sexuality. Venus Aquarius seeks original, and somewhat off-beat women who have unusal styles of dressing.
Mars shows us how we meet our challanges in life, and gives us a clue to how we express our sexual needs in relationships. I gave some examples of this in another thread.
The position of Mars for women, gives us a clue as to what kind of man they are attracted to. It may be very subtle, perhaps a crush on a movie star, or her being attracted to the same 'type' of man over, and over again. It is what pulls her to that man, even if she doesn't like him!
One theory is, that if a man, and a woman have the same sign in their Venus, and Mars (example: Man has Venus Aquarius, and woman has Mars Aquarius- or vice versa) they will be well matched. Another theory is that if a man's Sun sign is Virgo, and the woman's Moon sign is Virgo (or vice versa) they will have a strong indication for a good long term relationship.
I have found that whoever has the common Moon sign, will be the partner most enamored with the other. These are just theories, but I have found them to be surprisingly effective in understanding your partner.
Finding out this information can help you understand their needs, and what attracts them. For women, she needs to be able to provide a bit of Venus, and Moon to keep her man content, and for men, understanding her Mars, and Moon will give him important insights to what she craves, adn desires.
First of all anyone with good obeservation can tell she copied and pasted because of the spacing and capitalization. It is to constant. Second of all my sixth sense is in tune and I 'sensed' that she did, or you call it intuition.
if a man's Sun sign is Virgo, and the woman's Moon sign is Virgo (or vice versa) they will have a strong indication for a good long term relationship.
This makes me happy because Mikey Way from MCR is a Virgo and I'm a Gemini and we normally aren't compatible. BUT, my Moon is Virgo. So I can be with him forever. Yay.
I have not had a chance to read most of the above posts very carefully, but would would happy to share what information I have observed, and studied over the years. I would like to address the accusation of using 'cut and paste' and tell you that I am delighted to have been accused of using it!!
I have always thought that my spelling, and spacing, generally sucked ( as many former teachers have told me) but your accusation implies that I have been able to formulate thoughts, and sentences correctly enough to be suspect. I do use spell check sometimes, but if I am really in a hurry, I don't bother. But getting back to subject. The above post is merely a compliation of previous readings, and studies over the years. My voice is my own.
I have often found that in the study of Astrology, it is often riddled with too much mathmatic mumbo, jumbo, and often too much useless information. Basicly we all just want to be able to utilize this information to better help us understand each other. I find that the Moon, Venus, and Mars positions are the most helpful regarding intimate, and loving relationships.
I hope that I have not offended your extra-sensory instincts, but in this case, I am afraid that you are well off the mark. But thank you for your compliment, even if you did not intend it to be.
Hello felicicas, I am a little pressed for time, but I will be glad to offer what information I have used over the years to help you understand your potential boyfriend?
It is important to note the Astrology is a "tool", and that it is not an exact science. Your enviroment, life experiences, and other factors can never be ruled out, nor their influence ignored. This is what makes 'you' your own individual person regardless of planetary positions.
For the male, Venus in Capricorn (generally) indicates a lusty love nature that is often cloaked under a "frosty" reserve. This is the guy that does not like displays of public affection, but is a tiger at home, in private. Appearance are important to him, and he may flucuate between being attracted to the 'wilder' party time girl (but never settle down w/her), or the lady he takes home to meet mother.
He will be delighted if you hint that you know he has a passoniate side, but not too overtly. Subtle flirting is best, and then, never crass. Many times they are somewhat hard on themselves, and often feel like they have to "earn" someone's love or affection. This gives them a "Saturnine" disposition. But they can be very devoted when it love.
I recall the expression "Never touch them in public, but don't keep your hands off of them in private." The lady in public, and the wh*** at home syndrome. This is all I can think of off the top of my head. They do appreciate sensuality so your Taurus Moon (earth w/ his earth sun) and your Libra Mars are really a plus in this situation.
Try to find out his Moon sign, this will give you a better idea of what his "center" is. The Moon shows us what we do when we are upset, or unhappy, and indicates what we are looking for in a long term partner.
The Rad One, I think Gemini female, with Virgo Moon, and a Virgo male have alot of potential. The Moon/Sun combination has been down played over the years, but I personally believe in the older Astrologic indication that this gives each partner a basic understanding of each other. A great start, and something to build on.
Also Virgo male is very keen on an intellectually stimulating partner. Gemini female's mind works at a lighting pace, and this will impress him. Keep in mind he is "earth", and gets hung up on the details more, but with Moon in Virgo, you will understand this more easily than others.
Many Virgo males are a bit fussy about hygiene, and diet, something busy Gemini may not be too hung up on, so you might scope this angle out on him as well. Finding out his Moon sign could be helpful. Note of caution my friend, the partner with the Moon sign that matches the other's Sun, generally is more emotionally attached than the other partner. This may not come into play, but just be aware, and protect your heart in the event that things don't work out well.
Sorry Felicias, I've done it again! In answer to your question about your Capricorn Venus, I just wanted to add that for women, the Venus position does not reflect your preferences in a partner. The Venus position in men indicates what they find attractive in women.
For women, it is the placement of Mars, that indicateds what she finds attractive in a man. The Venus placement; according to some studies indicates the "love nature" of the women, or rather, the syle in which she loves. So being a woman with a Capricorn Venus, the focus would be of your love nature.
Studies indicate that if you are NOT seeking a mate based on his achievements, then YOU will work tirelessly to provide security, and material comforts yourself. You are loyal, faithful, and extremely dependable. There is also the tendency to be a bit possessive, and fearful of rejection.
It says that you have earthy passions, but are able to separate them from your mental attitudes about your relationship. Once again, these are only 'guide lones', and generalizations. As with all things Astrological, you have to take alot of it with a grain of salt sometimes. But I am happy to pass the info along!
